In the 10s they were one of the dominate artists in rap. However, especially after Kendrick and Megan they seem to be losing whatever shred of likability they once had. Now, when ever they get brought up their names are attached to a sex offender and pedo.

They'll always have their die hard fans to fall back on, but neither has been cool in a hot minute

Nicki has been over for quite a while; with Drake, it's hard to say. He's certainly declined commercially.

lol far from it. No one cares about any of these beefs in real life. Nicki dropped Big Foot and went on a sold out tour right after. :swing:

The same Nicki Minaj who has just completed a sold-out world tour which is the highest grossing and best-selling tour of a female rap artist of all time?

Meghan is really not it, her stats on singles and albums are not impressive especially considering she's at her peak day of grabbing hits. Nicki is really reaching that status of no one can call her flop anymore since she's been here too long but GP also not going to check her out as frequently as before.

Both are still the biggest  male and female artists of the genre right now.

These two situations are similar but drake's is much worse.. HISS literally had one line about nicki and it was forgotten after a week. Drake and Kendrick dropped multiple diss tracks and kendrick got one of his biggest hits out of it (where he is calling him a pdfile). The whole world tuned in and drake's reputation got stained forever. Besides, the quality of drake's music was already declining and he only made big numbers cause of his name and because he was liked by the Gp, but what will happen now that they turned on him? Nicki never had the GP anyways and her support mainly comes from the barbz (and they're too loyal to abandon her). Either way this is probably be nicki's last mainstream era cause i really don't see her dropping another album soon and she will probably be +45 when her next album drops lol. She will become like eminem and drop albums every 5 years that only her fans will listen to, as for drake i think he could still be successful but it just won't be the same. And if kendrick drops an album soon it will be the final nail in his coffin

Don't think either is over by any means and will always have some level of legacy and fans to fall back on. However I think both of them are "washed up" and they both only have themselves and their arrogance to blame for reaching that point. By washed up I don't mean success btw I mean that imo both of them have become creatively and morally bankrupt.

Drake is in a worse situation than Nicki though because of the Kendrick feud which I truly believe devastated his image and may be irreversible damage.

Oh I thought the thread's about if they are no longer friends etc/ no longer communicating

Like I can't remember the last time these 2 (Drake, Nicki) were friendly with each other in public ?

Nicki would be over if the other girls were outdoing her but currently she still is in the top 2 of her genre.

They aren't over, as they are still touring and out streaming by a landslide. It's just the youth have moved on, and thier prime is ending as the era changes.
