Josh Posted July 31 Posted July 31 (edited) Despite Work It Out being her first solo single; Crazy in Love is still considered her solo debut Which is her true solo debut? or Edited July 31 by Josh
KatyPrismSpirit Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Crazy In Love. Work It Out was for a soundtrack so it doesn't count. 6

Likingstars Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Using terms from this decade, CIL is her debut. WIO is her droplet 1
Lose My Breath Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Work It Out was for a soundtrack, not her debut album, so maybe that's why it's considered her debut Also, a big chunk of Destiny's Child was her solo Dangerously In Love (on Survivor) was solo
TipToe Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Technically is WIO, if it did smash the fans would claim it and maybe even her debut alberm would be different. 2
makeme Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Well its the first solo song from her. But Beyonce's first credit just her no DC was in 2000. She was also credited on a #3 hit in 2002 Bonnie and Clyde. But DIL is her first major studio lead single. Everything that came before were features/droplets

Beyonce singing on top of Beyonce being written and produced by Beyonce while also being vocally arranged by Beyonce. 2
Aaron Posted July 31 Posted July 31 (edited) The reason Work it Out was a soundtrack-only single is because it flopped. Had it smashed, it would've ended up as the lead single for DiL, which was originally scheduled to come out in late 2002 but was pushed back and reworked after Work it Out flopped. Work It Out was always for the soundtrack & Beyoncé pushed back her album because Kelly was smashing w Nelly, that time allowed her to record more songs. Kelly's album was suppose to come out last she spoke on how she had to finish & rush her album out and she regrets that, her words. Edited July 31 by QueenBeyoncé 3

Do you really think Beyoncé (the Beyoncé) would have work it out of all songs as the lead from DiL? Considering all songs on the album… really? It gave side single from the start
