When you listen to Chappell's album, you can hear sprinkles of early Gaga & Marina in there...

Gaga's face wearing black glasses, whose right side is covered by blue crystals. On the bottom of the left side of the glasses, the word "The Fame" is inscribed in white. The face of a young brunette woman, lying sideways on a floral patterned background. In the top left corner of the image, the words "Marina and the Diamonds" and "The Family Jewels" are placed.220px-Chappell_Roan_-_The_Rise_and_Fall_of_a_Midwest_Princess.png

Which of these three monumental albums is your fave?

The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess is the FAR superior album. The Fame follows and that Marina album is definitely last

My vote goes to Gaga, because I would argue that Chappell's album is as good as it is BECAUSE of The Fame - theatricality and camp had left American pop for a very long time before Gaga showed up and lit the genre on fire. Of course Midwest Princess is a 10 out of 10 album, but that's because of all the creative doors Gaga opened for future MPGs. I hope we get a collab between them because their voices and musicality are a match made in heaven. :sistrens:

I'd say the power pop of "Electra Heart" was a stronger influence than "The Family Jewels". That album still influences so many newer artists:
