ATRL Moderator Juánny Posted July 29 ATRL Moderator Posted July 29 Way too early to tell. Some huge smashes from 15 years ago are kind of irrelevant today (e.g. Boom Boom Pow, year-end #1 of 2009). Classics need to endure generations and be immediately recognizable to most people. 1
SylMacPer Posted July 29 Posted July 29 bad guy and HTE are classics for Billie g4u maybe for Olivia, but I feel it is a bit forgotten now Espresso and PPP have potential, but time will tell...
Solaria Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Drivers License is a classic for sure and so is Lovely. Sabrina will never have classics and will be forgotten in about 2 years. 1
bad guy Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Honestly Billie's "lovely" is the only song out of these girls that is in classic territory just off longevity alone. WWIMF also has potential. 1

brazil Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Billie definetely. Imo Olivia isn't as global and I guess her hits were bigger in the US. I don't think older Brazilians will know her hits. Regarding Sabrina. Too soon to tell. 1
Popboi. Posted July 29 Posted July 29 (edited) ocean eyes, lovely, bad guy are very clearly modern classics, same with driver's license and good 4 u. Espresso and BIRDS OF A FEATHER will join them. (Shout out to the clear forever crowd pleasers What Was I Made For?, Happier Than Ever, vampire, traitor and Nonsense). Edited July 29 by Popboi.
Miley Cyrus Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Olivia would've if she released Deja Vu instead of Driver's License as the lead for Sour The ppl saying Bad Guy....

Julia Fox Posted July 29 Posted July 29 too early to tell but at least the three has hits that are known by every demography and will always be on the books for its success and impact on pop culture (drivers, g4u, WWIMF?, bad guy and Espresso)

Kylizzle Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Lovely is already a classic, it's closing in on 3B streams on spotify alone. WWIMF? will probably become one in time.
Just a Gay on ATRL Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Billie: lovely - huge recurrent stats, everyone knows this song, sleeper hit. bad guy - everyone knows this song, her break-out smash, the recurrent stats aren't great but I don't think those tell the whole story with this one. It was a big moment for her and the climax of her iconic debut era. happier than ever - her most acclaimed song arguably, sleeper hit what was i made for? - oscar winning, signature song of an iconic film, simple but timeless ballad Olivia: drivers license - her break-out smash, everyone knows this song good 4 u - huge hit, the song of summer 2021 (we all know that BTS song being the #1 song of summer 2021 is a big fat lie), everyone knows this song Sabrina: way too early to tell how her 2 current hits will hold up We'll see how a couple of Olivia's other songs hold up in the future.
tost1 Posted July 29 Posted July 29 A classic is some tahat stands the test of time... All these songs mentioned are like barely 4-5 years old...
Robburro Posted July 29 Posted July 29 lovely is the biggest song released since 2015 so yes miss Eilish has a classic good 4 u will probably be also remembered and if not a classic, they will consider it a trendsetter Sabrina is too early to tell but I feel like Nonsense will be a classic 2 hours ago, Solaria said: Drivers License is a classic for sure and so is Lovely. byzantium Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Don't people on this site debate whether Britney, Taylor or Beyonce have any "classics"? I don't think people here have valuable opinions on these matters. 1
James_Joint Posted July 29 Posted July 29 I would predict ocean eyes, HTE, and/or WWIMF for Billie, Drivers license and maybe vampire for Olivia, and Sabrina is TBD.

modeblock Posted July 29 Posted July 29 (edited) Why is that ugly boring Lovely song Billie's classic? I ******* hate the GP OT: Billie, Olivia both have a couple potential classics already, Sabrina could have Espresso and Please, Please, Please and pull a Cyndi Lauper and never see MPG numbers again. Time will be the ultimate truth teller and she's too early to tell. Edited July 29 by modeblock
Trent W Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Lovely is the biggest classic from all of them Even tho it flopped initially
terrorblade Posted July 31 Posted July 31 billie is looking to have a lot of classiques (lovely, bad guy, hte, wwimf, boaf, etc) olivia has dl, g4u & traitor sabrina has espresso
