1989
Taylor has released 11 albums and literally 9 of them are remembered and being consumed more than nearly anyone else's music, and y'all are still asking this question 2
superben
No, but mainly because Taylor has quite a few memorable albums in her possession (Fearless, Red, 1989, Lover, folklore). Besides its huge success, TTPD does not feel like a milestone in her discography.

Moonlight Nation
On 7/29/2024 at 3:31 PM, LoveInStereo said: OT: It's absolutely gonna be remembered. Forget your personal feelings on the material, the length of the album alone makes it remarkable. I don't think it'll be remembered as a top tier, fan fav TS album but it'll def be remembered for being ambitious & that's rly not even up for debate Eh...not really. Making a playlist of 30+ songs rehashing repetitive sounds and topics is a tactic to maximize streaming success taken from Chris Brown and Morgan Wallen's playbook. Not to mention Drake has been doing bloated 20+ track albums since 2016. This absurd length is a major reason why Wallen's 2020s albums have had near-permanent residency on the Billboard 200 top 10. Had TTPD been intricately designed as a proper double album from the get-go with real effort put into creating a body of work, then it would be valid to call it ambitious. But as it is, I struggle to see the artistic integrity, made worse by the egregiously unpolished songwriting choices throughout the record. Taylor fanboy
Just to add, Ratty will most likely respond on their new album. The TTPDTA lore will continue to expand musically.
lovely88
I think she has more memorable albums. But it may be a fan fave years from now when people have had time to digest it. Right now I think Taylor's celebrity is overshadowing her music. I didn't feel that way when Midnights came out. The7thStranger
You can't really evaluate how remembered somebody's music is when their coming off their imperial phase.
Funnyfatty
Memorable? Maybe. Respected? NO. As a hater, i can say that only Folklore will be respected. That was a GOOD album. No clownery, good writing, good music, sweet promo and equally awarded. Tortured circus is the WORST.
watawa
I think that when the next streaming or stadium music album comes out, people will stop crying and start liking it. If you like the experience of listening to records over playlists, of course.
