MidnightsAtPeace Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Florence released her magnum opus "How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful" more than 9 years ago, and to this day, it remains one of my favorite albums to ever exist. The production on every track is immaculate, the songwriting is insanely poetic and incredible, the vocals are undeniably so strong and heavenly. The visuals represent the album so nicely and the short film (The Odyssey) is a literal masterpiece that I cling to everytime I'm going through a hard time. This album also includes her best song ever, "Which Witch", which is the definition of a perfection. 2 1
Escape Posted July 28 Posted July 28 It's her best for sure but not one of the best in the last 10 years.
State of Grace. Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Yeah, a masterpiece tbh. What Kind of Man, Delilah, Ship to Wreck, Queen of Peace, Mother, St Jude >>>>>>>>>> This, Dance Fever (underrated af), and Ceremonials are my trinity from her now. 1
ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted July 28 ATRL Moderator Posted July 28 Actually I think it might be a monumental album
GentleEarthquake Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Maybe, but Which Witch is indeed one of the best songs from the past 10 years 1
makeawish Posted July 28 Posted July 28 atrl had it at #52 on our top 100 of all time! (i don't like it apart from the singles tbh, lungs ftw)
Riverbank Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Mother is like one of the best closers of all-time. A 10/10 album in my book
JoeAg Posted July 28 Posted July 28 I love it, but I love Ceremonials and Dance Fever just SLIGHTLY more if i'm being honest
