bjorn Posted July 30 Posted July 30 You just know he'll be receive $100 mill each movie and some percentage on the gross
Gorjesspazze9 Posted July 30 Author Posted July 30 I mean he made $80M pay on Avengers age of Ultron. And every Avengers Movie since the first he has made over $75M. Like this isn't new that's been his payday for every movie.
BNF91 Posted July 30 Posted July 30 (edited) Just slop, creative bankruptcy Edited July 30 by BNF91 1
crf13 Posted July 30 Posted July 30 I don't pay much attention to this marvel stuff because it all reeks of shitty overly-funded movies with a bunch of narcissistic annoying actors who never seem to understand the "make the audience miss you" principle about media saturation (RDJ being a prime example).
Lightbringer007 Posted July 30 Posted July 30 (edited) the numbers to rdj's dr doom reveal just insane omg https://t.co/TX5kFf8Jhm Edited July 30 by Lightbringer007

fromily Posted July 31 Posted July 31 is anyone going to point out how cringey the actual reveal video is? i get it's doing numbers (makes total sense, this was a genius if artistically bankrupt move on marvel's part) but the way he looks so dead serious as he pulls off the $2 mask and just stands, arms out, while a few hundred nerds scream... the second hand embarrassment is killing me 2
XAMJ Posted July 31 Posted July 31 rdj trashed marvel and their lack of artistry so he can get his shitty Oscar and then go back crawling for a ridiculous amount of money and perks 2
MattieB Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Marvel really replaced that abuser with a former dug addict/criminal
NausAllien Posted August 1 Posted August 1 You can clearly tell Feige is DESPERATE because Phase 5 is FLOPPING HARD! 1
305 Posted August 2 Posted August 2 It's kinda funny that they were flopping so bad that they were desperate enough to do this NGL I'm looking forward to seeing him as a villain but I'm low key cringing
loveisdead9582 Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Spoiler As far as the casting choice, there is a basis. From the sounds of it, he's getting $80 million total for both movies which would be a pay it for him. Even if he's getting that amount per movie it's not really that much of a pay raise from what he was getting before for the avengers movies.

It wouldn't make sense for them to create two Avengers movies based on a comic book storyline that wasn't even that popular to begin with.

They haven't faithfully adapted many of the plots that they've alluded to. Civil War, Secret Invasion, age of Ultron, etc. barely had any similarities aside from the big plot points (and in some cases even that was a bit of a stretch). I'm just saying that for the people who are criticizing the character choice, it's not like they are pulling it from nowhere. Had doom been introduced even 5 years ago they probably wouldn't have done this but it wouldn't make sense to have a completely new villain trying to rewrite the universe. An established character though…
KFC Posted November 14 Posted November 14 The RDJ as Doom lashings on this page glad I'm not alone in thinking this casting decision STINKS
