Is 'brat' more culturally relevant than any Taylor release since Folklore?

Why is Taylor mentioned? :ryan:

Let Charli have her moment

No. Nobody outside taylor fandom can name a single song from folklore or evermore, but I believe midnight was huge.

cardigan alone has more streams than BRAT, CRASH, how i'm feeling now combined, so chances are it's more likely to be known than any Charli song. Y'all truly live in a parallel universe once a something goes viral on tiktok for a week huh

The problem with BRAT is that it's become bigger than Charli.... Whereas, this is NOT and has NEVER been the case for Taylor!

Swifties cue the pictures of Taylor performing in Munich! :fan:

What does culturally relevant even mean in this day and age? Music is disposable as it's never been before and the only thing you can compare is how big names are - and Taylor's name is, well, known by the GP :dies:

Cultural Relevant means whatever they want it to mean when it comes to dragging Taylor.

Taylor is constantly discussed on TV = that's not culturally relevant.

BRAT is for once discussed on TV = that is culturally relevant

Taylor goes massive viral on social media on a daily basis = not culturally relevant

BRAT goes semi viral as a meme for a week = that is culturally relevant

White women live and die for Taylor = not culturally relevant (because for ATRL, what women like is not important)

Gays live and die for BRAT = culturally relevant, cause after all, gays are men and men's opinion is what matter

Considering most people dont even know what album Cruel summer is actually a part of, ya I'd say neither brat nor taylors releases including folklore are culturally relevant

The only culturally relevant thing taylor has done in the 2020s is travis kelce. Brat is just kamala harris meme :gaycat:

You are making the most

The album is a meme that got a couple mentions in the news and now people here painting it like some some of cultural event that changed the industry

Taylor's last album didn't make the splash it usually does but she has still been 100x times more talked about all year than brat

Literally in a decade, these 2020 onward taylor swift albums are going to be looked at like stains on her discography. Everyone in the 2020s calls everything iconic when it's not.

Taylor swift is the only blonde, white woman artist that middle america feels comfortable stanning, and her numbers reflect that. Every other white woman pop artist is too gay friendly/not safe enough/too sexual, unlike taylor who is neutral and not sexual. And ya, her 2020 onwards albums are terrible and nap antoflop should be retired from music

So you're saying that those albums, the biggest albums of the decade will be forgotten. You're saying folklore, an AOTY winner, will be forgotten?

Definitely :clap3:Taylor has minimal impact and her albums are virtually all the same since Reputation—you can't have cultural relevance when you give people 8,000 versions of the same song. Brat is a unique, visually iconic album that is instantly recognizable in its aesthetic with clear cultural impact today that Taylor has failed to achieve.

Miss folklore nearing the top 10 for the 2024 year end, oh let's hope all other albums are as forgotten as that is

Dare I say yes? :deadbanana2:

Brat is taking over the summer. Kamala IS brat.

What is TTPD without 8 versions every week?

Tumbling down the Billboard 200 1-4-7
