Tropez Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Taylor washes everyone else. Doing that with less shows, so her per show gross is insane.
JorgeM Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Eras tour is really going to end with +10 M tickets sold. M Surprised with Renaissance tour selling less tickets that Rep tour even with more dates 1
PoisonedIvy Posted July 25 Posted July 25 It literally makes me laugh that people try to downplay Taylor's real world impact & success when this is one of the most objective metrics by which you can properly measure an artists' significance to the public at any given period in time. 10
1989 Posted July 25 Posted July 25 The Eras Tour has proven to be the tour of a lifetime. The significance, the impact. 4
tost1 Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Taylor's numbers weren't confirmed so for all we know she might not even be in top 10 2 1 4 2 8
Klein Posted July 25 Posted July 25 The fact Taylor is nearly doubling the #2 with only a bit more than a third of her total dates is insane. She's gonna end up quadrupling #2 when all is said and done.
Kimi Posted July 25 Posted July 25 also do we have highest grossing female artists of all time kind of list? like a touring chartmasters? when we talk about commercial success we dont talk about touring nearly enough, thats as important as music sales. 1
Green Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Karol G I didn't know she was doing that great as a touring act 1

Enrique523 Posted July 25 Posted July 25 I was NOT expecting to see Karol on the list but not Gaga Good for her thought, she's WAY better than Anitta on terms of female Latin artists

Exactly. The whole "Taylor has no impact" OTH talking point never made any sense, it's always been extremely subjective and biased.

Taylor's accomplishment is huge but touring stats aren't the be all end all of metrics. That would mean Beyonce is the third biggest female in history and Karol G is bigger than Britney, Gaga, Whitney, Mariah etc.

It's literally how we saw certain bands last the test of time and become some of the biggest artists in history, like The Rolling Stones for example. It's not the only factor but it's an extremely significant one. And Karol G doesn't really have an extensive touring history of this caliber, that's the combined factor. Success + longevity is what makes a legend.

It may come close to U2/Rolling Stones all time cumulative gross too. 2
