reymiu Posted July 24 Posted July 24 (edited) Her tour Celebration ended with very good buzz (the Rio show drew 1.6 million audience). It looks like people are reacting better to her music and Madonna herself. She was in the studio with Max Martin She looks hot lately She was featured on The Weekend's Popular which will cross 1 Billion streams on Spotify Is it enough for Madonna to score another global hit? Do you think she will score another global hit? Edited July 24 by reymiu 1
Hector Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Hopefully it's with Like A Prayer again with Deadpool & Wolverine released this week. 7
Lament Posted July 24 Posted July 24 She could get something as big as Padam Padam if she plays her cards right. And that would already be truly amazing for her age! I doubt she could get more. Radio stations will never play her the way they used to. 1
.Odyssey. Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Never say never. She just hasn't picked good singles since Hard Candy (yes, I'm including Ghosttown which sounds like a OneRepublic song). She still has an ear for great melodies but the production is weak on a lot of her later work. If she came back with a true banger that was a straightforward pop song, I could see it. Madonna has definitely had a bit of a career renaissance this last year, and the general public loves a comeback story. It'd take a lot of work on her front and good marketing, but I could see it happening, especially if the gays were behind her and made it viral. 1 1 1
Saint James Posted July 24 Posted July 24 she will continue getting moments like Popular, BTUTTB, Frozen etc but i think a global smash is unlikely
Blackout2006 Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Whenever people doubted her, she came back stronger so never say never 3 1
suburbannature Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I mean, how many 65-year-olds getting global hits do you see. But if someone could do it it would be her 5
Gorjesspazze9 Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I honestly think Like a Prayer streams are gonna rise a lot this weekend. As far as a new album with a hit single, it really depends. Never count her out. If she drops another dance album, maybe 2
.Odyssey. Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I do wish we could see her have one last Confessions-level type of an era...that'd be a much more iconic bookend to her career than....Madame X... 1 3

Popular Post alexrex Posted July 24 Popular Post Posted July 24 Didn't she recently score 2 hits with Please Please Please and Espresso? 1 16
Oktober Knight Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Not unless it were a collaboration, I think. Elton John's recent song remakes with other artists did extremely well so I could see that being a success if he were to work with Madonna. It would be cool if she could let out one last WW smash with the right song and promotion but I honestly don't think she cares anymore. 2

Migs Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I love Madonna but her last really good album was Confessions. She stopped being the trailblazer that she once was and turned to fads. If she can come up with something as amazing and fresh as she once did, she would have an amazing comeback.
Erreur2 La Nature Posted July 24 Posted July 24 No but she does not need one, she's the biggest artist on the planet lol 1
UseYourIllusion2002 Posted July 24 Posted July 24 She should make a Confessions 2.0 and serve the looks she's been serving the last month. I think that'd do wonders for her. 2
MP3 Posted July 24 Posted July 24 The thing about Madonna is she always surprise so who knows I can see a last Top 10 hit WW by herself but I think successful album sales are over for her, unless a GH maybe Every time they said she was over she came back with a #1 hit so we'll see
Storm653 Posted July 24 Posted July 24 (edited) As a feature, sure. As a solo artist, she hasn't had one since 4 Minutes. But I can see Madonna trying to collab with a major pop artist or trying to get featured on a K Pop or Reggaeton track for a global hit. Of course, the other artist will be carrying the song but she'll still get the credit as a feature. Edited July 24 by Storm653
