Her vocal is smooth and cute But I am not a big fan of Britney's mid-tempo. However, sometime I revisited this song and like it, but still not a lead single worthy. But that's just cause it's a midtempo like you said, and the others are on a whole other level. There's nothing bad about the song. I even like the G-Eazy verse. Just Luv Me sounded very Selena/Justin for my taste but I learned to love it. I'm actually fine with Make Me as lead, if only they used the original MV. I wonder if it's true Britney hated it (we got some behind the scenes where it seemed she wasn't having fun) or it was just the cship acting weird as usual.
