I didn't even know he lost his first wife and 1 year old daughter in a car crash in the 1970s. Then to lose his oldest son to brain cancer and be overcome with grief to not run in the 2016 election.

Full Tweet for those who don't want to open it: I can't think about Joe Biden without tearing up a little. This man ran for president 5 times and lost then enthusiastically backed Obama and played the establishment number two to the greatest leader of his generation. He wanted to run for president in 2016 but couldn't because his son Beau died and he was too wracked with grief. So he comes back in 2020, saves the country from Donald Trump and despite being a career centrist, proceeds to have the most pro-union, pro-working class administration in 80 years, pulls the country out of Covid, pulls us from the economic disaster of Trump into the best economy in the world. He's then betrayed by the media class and has to drop out because he's too old for them. He steps down, for the good of the country, and immediately turns around and full-throatedly endorses the the first Black woman Presidential candidate finalist in U.S. history. This man.

WOMP WOMP

You know what actually makes me tear up Mikel Jollett? The daily massacres in Gaza that have been livestreamed for us daily for the last +9 months, funded and supported by this senile ghoul.

Or crimes like the one below, which your daddy Joe also supports:

0 sympathy for this man. Hope he has one of the slowest, most painful deaths ever.

Fun fact: Joe Biden was my cousin's neighbor when he lived in Delaware. He then regretted voting for him the following year

I hate people who romanticize politics like that. He got what he wanted, but soon he lost the support of the people. End of story.

you'd think if someone lost their 1 year old daughter they wouldn't be complicit and funding the killing of babies

KNOWING what a parent goes through losing their child

Right? Meanwhile Joe probably can't even remember what he said a second ago.

I just can't imagine being that invested:rip:

ATRL will not be on your side if you say anything positive about him, but "resilient" is definitely a word I would use to describe Biden. In terms of domestic issues, he did what he needed to do, despite a caustic, toxic political climate.

He has contributed a lot to American progressive politics. A lot of people on the far left are disappointed in his handling of the israel Palestine war, but it has always been beyond obvious that no American politician is going to abandon Israel just to support Hamas instead

He will be remembered as the Butcher of Gaza and will be cited when Palestinians never forgive America for the sea of blood that is currently flowing through the streets of Palestine.

He will he remembered when we ask why disability is widespread through Gaza as children will struggle to recover from from months or years of famine.

He actions will be remembered when international criminal courts call upon Bibi to stand for crimes against humanity and we have to ask for who and why in the US supported helping such a monster evade such calls.

(I forget not everyone reads the Civics section and wouldn't be aware the avi is ironic given my posts about her from 2018-2023 though I'm open to giving her the chance to disavow and distance herself from Biden's record. But if she picks that Shapiro? It's Joever again)

His legacy is arming, funding, and providing propaganda cover for the worst genocide of the 21st century. That is how history will remember Joe Biden.

He did go through some difficult situations, especially the loss of his children.

That doesnt change his lousy policies and positions. Supporting gay marriage in 2012 when the public opinion had already shifted in its favor? That shouldnt be a brag for a politician on the left. Biden voted many times in favor of restricting gay rights (dont as don't tell, defense of marriage act). Let's not act like he's Bernie who defended gay marriage since the get go and when most opposed it.

People stanning politicians solely for doing the bare minimum of what they promised to do when elected is exactly why politics sucks so much.
