Ger Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Is "Lose Control" not eligible this year? Because that's a sure contender for ROTY and SOTY considering it's most likely to end up being the biggest hit of the year in America.

I predict him in BPSP for my personal grammy predictions!

I think he has a shot in ROTY but there are already a lot of male adult contemporary options in that field. Too Sweet hy Hozier, Beautiful Things by Benson Boone, I Had Some Help by Post Malone But Lose Control is set to be the #1 song of the year-end of 2024 Hot 100 so he does have a big chance. We'll just have to see if he's lucky enough. But considering the vocals in Lose Control "Best Pop Solo" is a given
Asparagus Spears Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Did I miss something? Why is Sabrina in the running for a "best new artist" nom? Isn't she on like album 5 now?

Isn't she on like album 5 now? Billboard confirmed she is eligible for Best New Artist because she only submitted 2 times (in 2017 and in 2022). You are only allowed to submit a maximum of 3 times before you are permanently deemed ineligible (which is why Tate McRae for example is ineligible). If an artist experienced a breakthrough or a big rise to fame that also falls under the category of "Best New Artist" 1
ericcartman Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Overestimating Sabrina Carpenter. She'll get a ROTY at best like Katy Perry did. Replace her with Shaboozy. Otherwise that looks about right though I'm sure there will be some curveballs. I also don't see Ariana in the general field. The era is successful but feels like it's just there.
