Katy Perry - "Lifetimes"

Element
Message added by Element,

Please keep discussion in this thread focused on the song. Discussions about Katy Perry's larger scale career/choices, and other artists should NOT be done here. There are plenty of other places to do so on ATRL. Thank you!

Debuts #49 on the Hot AC chart

Only one official add so it hasn't been sent. Just pre-impact airplay. I would guess the plan is to continue testing the waters and maybe set an official adds date around the VMA's?

:suburban:rush release a new single is a better choice

It would be if all the other snippets didn't suck even harder :suburban: They need to stick with Lifetimes until album release

Any Katy Perry single would be DOA right now. She not only lost but reversed her goodwill. Lifetimes is showing some vital signs and clawing its way up, which, for her current standards, is the best she can hope for. The song is also completely harmless and can't possibly get her dragged. "Drippy, drippy, daddy, take me on a ride" on the other hand will destroy whatever is left of her.

it's doing nothing and is already dead everywhere :rip: you're delusional to think trying to push this dead song is worth anything lmao

also. she has nothing to lose at this point after destroying her career with WW with its chat gpt lyrics and this that has 5 lines repeated all the time, at least gimme gimme seems to have normal lyrics, that snippet has more lyrics than Lifetimes x3 :rip: she may as well just use her biggest collab on the album and combine it with her biggest US perfomance this era to get some people's attention as her biggest US songs are E.T. and DH. it's actually beyond me how anyone can think her pushing lifetimes there is gonna do ANYTHING. :rip:

I just want NIRVANA! I saw a set list of the songs shes preparing for the medley at the VMAS, but Idk if it's true. What do we think she is going to preform and do we think Lifetimes has a chance to be preformed? If she is going to do a song from 143, I would rather Lifetimes than WW.

I agree Lifetimes is dead.

As much as I like Nirvana, I think it's going to be a collab next. Gimme Gimme makes the most sense.

didn't she post an IG video practicing Lifetimes for her VMA performance? I think obviously she will perform that, but for no apparent reason. I swear she has no gays on her team to tell her what's up.

I think Lifetimes can reach 100m on spotify and do its job. I think a new single should be dropped with album or right before to boost streams and a video. Or VMA day. She also has 9 number ones to perform and other hits. So she's stacked.

Yesterday I was at a group workout in the gym and when "Woman's World" started playing, many asked the coach to switch the song. :rip:

She missed the opportunity to make not a humorous, but a more realistic clip about the difficulties of women with abortion rights, with glass career ceilings and educational loans for life. But she wouldn't have been able to present the idea correctly, I'm sure of it. But it could have saved her.

How overdramatic! Guys it's literally just a song, Idk why everything's about Katy is taken so seriously. She's right to say it, she really is a polarizing figure:ahh:

So this was doing less than 500k since a week ago?

I thought it was in the 700k range, is she doing better than JLo at this pont? The waste on money amazes me….

She hasn't reached JLo's level of flopping, at least not yet :rip:

I'm pretty sure she will and probably outflop JLo if she continue making these miserable decisions:suburban:

She will, if her album will debut outside Top 10 on main markets. I mean JLo had three (?) album-pivoted movies with 25M+ budget. :rip:

Re-enters at #48 on HAC radio (new peak). Healthy increase in spins

Increasing again on Spotify. I don't think WW ever did, it's just been a steady decline.

I don't like the song but the fact that it's holding some kind of ground in her current predicament is clearly a sign of potential. They should push. Make it track #2 on the IHHM single when it drops next week, perform it at the VMA's, send it to radio etc.

Will these delusions ever end.
