Bends Posted July 19 Posted July 19 (edited) According to the latest reports, Katy Perry is furious about the failure of her new single. She is now arranging emergency meetings with the new team to save her album and comeback. The fundamental question is: based on what we have on July 19th, is it realistic to turn the album campaign in a positive direction 3 months before the release of the album? Quote The source explained: 'Katy is now demanding that they go back to the drawing board ahead of the release of more singles and they are adjusting the album right now in a desperate attempt to salvage her comeback. She should be very grateful that they have three months to do this.' It appears Katy is planning to give control over to the fans after she announced on Stationhead on July 14 that she would be creating a poll for her followers to help choose what her next single should be. KatyPrismSpirit Posted July 19 Posted July 19 would just move onto the next song and pay dr. luke some money to hide his production credits and call it a freaking day. you can't point fingers at everyone when you chose to work with him. just move onto a track that this new generation would like as well. not every song needs to be a empowering anthem 6 2 1
Popular Post RideOrDie Posted July 19 Popular Post Posted July 19 well 10 years haven't been enough so i doubt 3 more months is gonna make a difference 2 18

The return on investment from this album will probably be -5900%. 1
selena_lavigne Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Where is that video of her asking her team to make E.T. go number one? 5
Pillz Posted July 19 Posted July 19 The era started out promising with all that buzz around her, but it was doomed from the start if THAT was the direction of the music. She should record it all over again and send the scraps to Ava and Bebe 1 1
Konril Posted July 19 Posted July 19 I believe in Lifetimes. She should've went with that one as a lead. 1
halcyonday Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Nah, the era will be a flop. Luke produced all of it and Capitol isn't even promoting her on streaming. 7
itshyolee Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Yeah no, this era will be another flop to add onto her necklace of tankery
Uncatena Posted July 19 Posted July 19 WW was just the final nail in the coffin, her career was kinda over already
zweigson Posted July 19 Posted July 19 tbh nobody would have cared about luke if ww was actually good. she just needs to tease a good song on tiktok (if she has any) and let it go as viral as a katy perry single in 2024 can be
Nazareth Posted July 19 Posted July 19 At this point we need to be asking the question of whether the album can even be certified Gold? The album will debut Top 20 and leave the charts within 3 weeks. It's salvageable but she needs to release a new single and video next month.
Sawk Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Maybe? She might have a hit somewhere in the vault. That being said, it needs to be better than good, it needs to be on the level of TD singles, which is super hard. If there is not a hit somewhere, she should probs stop the vinyl pressings + CD's now and cut the losses. Restart and make a new album without Luke.

Illuminati Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Reminds me of the Smile era rumors of her label doing research on why people stopped listening to Katy All those focus groups were for nothing I guess
Dolce Vita Posted July 19 Posted July 19 atp i don't see how someone can come back from this level of career suicide, she really sealed the coffin shut by herself katy's had some moments of artistry on a few of her albums but she's just a very out of touch, campy millennial, like nobody gives a **** about her brand of corny surface level 2016'd feminism in this cultural zeitgeist, especially if it's produced by an abuser. this is just gonna be a bomb whether capitol likes it or not 1

But the only option is this and new people on her team
