Still a bad *****, whether I'm sporty or I'm dressy

Just listened to Jade's debut and I was so hyped but it's just some noise and an ugly synth, I hate it here

So let's pretend Tears was Perrie's debut :clack:

Jesy > Perry

Jade's song is okay, but it's a bit too campy and too UK'd for my liking.

Sure, the older gay community will love it, but she might end up alienating a significant portion of her fans. It actually reminds me a bit of Joe McElderry's debut single, with touches of Kylie and Xenomania.

Jade's song is the best and it's not close. It displays a level of personality that none of the others showed (which is probably because she actually wrote it unlike the other three).

Leigh-Anne's song is good, I played it quite a bit last year, it's just a bit generic. Despite all the controversy, Jesy's song wasn't actually bad, it just needed to pack a bit more of a punch production wise and not rely so heavily on the sample. Perrie's song was just boring

Tbh, they were all bad. There was a reason they were put in a group in the first place, and based on the singles the judges were right

Jade: original, fresh, interesting, unique, a banger.

Perrie: too basic and forgettable. Kinda what you expected from her.

Leigh: very Jorja Smith-esque. Cute bop but not interesting enough.

Jesy: Has there ever been a case of a debut single ending someone's career? because this is one. Nothing else to add.

Jade >>> Leigh >> Perrie > Jesy.

Jade > Jesy > Leigh-Anne > Perrie

Jade - so unique and promising for her career, can tell it's a JADE song

Jesy - it wasn't that bad, good sample, good video, good nicki verse

Leigh-Anne - her vocals don't do it for me, very bland and weak, almost monotone.

Perrie - dated and you can tell she's not a writer by trade as it sounds like something anyone else in 2016 could have released.

Jade and it is not even close.

Perrie went the hot AC route with her Kelly Clarkson pop fodder.

Leigh song is just basic and has no face, anyone could sing it and no one would know the singer. Catered for radio.

Jesy, a mess with a PDF file supporter and then Diddy on top of that. Gross.

Jade, but Leigh is also good, I love My Love from her. Perrie's song is such a try hard. Jesy has her own thing but was outdated in taste.

Angel of Dreams is by far the most inventive one of the four, it reminds me a lot of something off Rachel Stevens' Come And Get It, or something Xenomania could;ve done a bit later on with Girls Aloud, as mentioned above. Not surprised about it, as Jade herself mentioned she has been very inspired by 2000s UK pop (& Rachel's Some Girls specifically) as of late.
