Taylor fanboy Posted July 17 Posted July 17 (edited) But I thought reputation's second fanbase said that reputation is her worst album? His full ranking for those interested: 11. 'evermore' 10. 'Midnights' 9. 'folklore' 8. 'Lover' 7. '1989' 6. 'Taylor Swift' 5. 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT' 4. 'RED' 3. 'Speak Now' 2. 'Fearless' 1. 'reputation' Do we believe them or believe the veteran journalist and top music critic Jon Caramanica? The revised 8.5 Pitchfork score? The recanted Consequence of Sound review prior Taylor Fever? The Esquire article three years later declaring it her best album that started the revolution? OH IT'S SO GOOD TO BE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF POP MUSIC CULTURE AND HISTORY. Loca Posted July 17 Posted July 17 They are right. It's the only time she fully embraced her true persona and made something fun of it. 4 1
Dialamba Posted July 17 Posted July 17 The only reason why this album is hated is because Taylor didn't take her too seriously and wasn't doing 5k metaphors per songs
Blue Monday Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Sorry but no album with "Gorgeous" on the track list can clear folklore or Red 2
ATRL Moderator Juánny Posted July 17 ATRL Moderator Posted July 17 Well there's two people in that video ranking her albums, one of them ranked it #1 and the other #7... 2 8

If you want to start getting pedantic He does not represent NYT for music reviews nor ranking. The title still stands? Not sure about the energy or message you're sending.

Not sure about the energy or message you're sending. Well the NYT uploaded a video of him ranking the Taylor Swift albums. I love reputation, and I was just pointing it out in case it was missed. Apologies if you're getting a bad energy from me, but I'm simply saying what I observed from watching the video in your OP. 1

Lemon Posted July 17 Posted July 17 I mean, it does have bubbly silver tipsy of Gorgeous and emotionally staked Call It What You Want It and relentless Delicate chanty spell, so maybe there is some truth there. 1
By the Water Posted July 17 Posted July 17 I've noticed a trend that most THOTS have either reputation or folklore as their favorite Taylor album. The thing is, I remember the reaction when reputation came out. The same people that were trying to convince us that it was the worst album ever suddenly stan it years later. That's why I don't take most of the criticism towards TTPD seriously 3 1
