FailSafe Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Of her singles, Thinking of you, TOTGA and NRO deserved #1 spots too
CoolNebraskaGuy Posted July 17 Posted July 17 (edited) NRO reminds me that, despite all that's happened, Katy can still write a great song. She really did that Edited July 17 by CoolNebraskaGuy
Bubble Tea Posted July 17 Posted July 17 "Birthday" for sure. It's such a bop. If she made a video as sexy as "WOMAN'S WORLD" back then, we wouldn't be where we are today

Never Really Over deserved, sadly they didn't do much promo for the song back in the day She pulled NRO from radio to promote Small Talk, I'll never forget that Edited July 17 by gustavothehuman
Distantconstellation Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Thinking of You, deserved to be a big ballad #1 hit. The gays here always talk a big game but can't make anything go to #1

Ivan_brit Posted July 17 Posted July 17 CTTR or Never Really Over NRO is Top 3 best song of her discography
Princess Aurora Posted July 17 Posted July 17 (edited) Dressin Up, Walking on Air, 365, Bon Appetit, Chained to the Rhythm, Never Really Over, Harleys In Hawaii, Cry About It Later, and When I'm Gone. Edited July 17 by Princess Aurora
Bussea Posted July 17 Posted July 17 (edited) Single: WIG or HIH Non Single: Cry About It Later (it was a promo single but still fff should've been a full fledged single) and for songs that should've went #1 before her last hit, Thinking of You deserved so much better Edited July 17 by BussC,XOXO

If she made a video as sexy as "WOMAN'S WORLD" back then, we wouldn't be where we are today I'm convinced the terrible video for Birthday is part of the reason the single didn't do well. Also Dark Horse still. Would. Not. Die. It blocked This Is How We Do as well, and I'm pretty sure International Smile was slated to be a single but after Birthday fizzled out they stopped releasing singles.
Witnessed ET Posted July 17 Posted July 17 There's Wide Awake which was blocked by Call Me Maybe. Walking on Air was ready to smash and the radio DJs were begging her to release it as a single. Never Really Over started off so promising and was still rising when it was killed prematurely on radio and playlists to make way for Small Talk Theres just way too many. but I personally would have loved The One That Got Away to hit #1. A timeless pop song, and it's proving it's timelessness nowadays with amazing recurrent stats.

I 100% agree with all. Katy has been fumbling with her singles since witness and I 100% believe she would still be big if she managed her existing songs better.
