dirrtydiana Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Stadiums are a hassle. I hate having to wait in huge lines for everything and the performers looks even smaller. unless you're a legendary band, MJ, Madonna or Beyonce, arenas are the most I can do 1
Richie.Valdez Posted July 16 Posted July 16 I've seen my 2 faves Lana and Britney live in both small venues and stadiums so for me the best experience was in small venues.
Wicked Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Arenas > Theaters > Stadiums. Theaters are my favorite experience tho... I've seen most of my favorite artists kill it for like $20 a ticket. Arenas are only worth it for artists with real vision on stage. Mr. Morale tour was>>>. If MJ or Prince was around and did Stadiums I'd go because they're them. 2
unclefloprry Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Yes, no matter where you sit in an Arena, you will be able to appreciate the artist and the stage. As you say, stadium shows nowadays are used for bragging 2
byzantium Posted July 17 Posted July 17 I think each have their pros and cons. Stadium shows have much bigger production budgets and feel more like events. Theater shows feel more intimate and interactive. Honestly, I just think artists should tour in the largest venue possible so tickets can be easier to get.
Polgg48 Posted July 17 Posted July 17 studium sound setting for concerts always a mess, barely see performers and hear music even they are lipsync or backtracking. its default never meant for concert to full experience with only exception of EDM festival because of interaction.
toast Posted July 17 Posted July 17 The feeling of having a stadium full of people singing along to your fav's songs is unmatched imo. Definitely depends on the production/performer though.

Most artists Iʻd much rather see in an Arena though cause they wouldnʻt pull off a stadium show well. I've literally seen her in the exact same circumstances but I'm of the opposite opinion I like arena shows a lot more. You feel closer to the artist, the views are great from anywhere, and they can go more creative with the production since it's a lot easier to set up. MCSWT is still my favorite concert experience (was in the lower levels), even though I don't think it's necessarily her best show. RWT in the GA was by far the worst (though Club Renaissance was amazing, but also at a much higher price). Not to mention if you catch a daylight show 50% of the magic is gone. I've always wondered what her shows would've looked like production wise if she was still doing arenas. I think Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite tour is a great exemple of how extravagant and tightly themed an arena show can be, and that's just not possible in a stadium environment. 2
Chris Posted July 17 Posted July 17 I don't know but Madonna should have done stadiums for Celebration Tour.
needs Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Yeah I'll always prefer a small venue. Stadiums do have a lot of energy with all the people and the large-scale production but the lack of intimacy can be a big letdown. I remember seeing Beyonce and our seats weren't great, so it didn't really feel like seeing Beyonce but something else instead. It was still fun, but it just isn't the same as a show of like 1000 people in the crowd where you get to see the person you've been listening to all this time up close and personal. 2
torontowest91 Posted July 20 Posted July 20 The sound quality is not as good in massive stadiums plus you are WAY further from the stage.
shakeyourbombom Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Been to multiple stadium shows and the only thing I hate about it is the big crowd leaving the venue at the same time after the show. The transportation was a mess. 1
stevyy Posted July 20 Posted July 20 The best stadium act ever... is Take That. Their tours are like circus shows... so much going on and everyone is engaged. The worst type of stadium show would a female trotting around a long stage.
trueromance Posted July 22 Posted July 22 i enjoy the vibe at stadiums but i had a bad experience once with sound at a stadium concert. there was a bad echo so i couldn't hear a lot of songs so that really turned me off from stadium shows. plus i always have issues leaving and get home so late. i like arenas best. 1
suburbannature Posted July 22 Posted July 22 (edited) I've never enjoyed a stadium show - even when at stage. They're just too vast and the sound is usually a mess. That said I'd give my left testicle to see Mariah at one of her 90s stadium shows. Edited July 22 by suburbannature 1
Into The Void Posted July 22 Posted July 22 (edited) Idk I liked Charlie Puths concert in a mid size amphitheater over the Jonas Brothers in a stadium. Even tho the Jonas Brothers are better live the acoustics really sucked and u could barely see them, they were like 2 miles away and even the screens were tiny. I could actually hear and see Charlie.
