ScorpiosGroove Posted July 15 Posted July 15 y'all still trying to convince yourself renaissance was in any way shape or form inspired by that flop album it's getting sad 8 2
Cain Posted July 15 Posted July 15 …that image is the biggest reach I've ever seen Even those 2010 collages of 'before and after Gaga' were more accurate

Spicy Pisces Posted July 15 Posted July 15 (edited) CC and ESV shouldn't be there imo, but the rest of them have "taken" something from Chromatica: bringing back house inspired music to pop (RENAISSANCE), all bops no ballads (Diamonds & Dancefloors, 143, RENAISSANCE), and a concept around a metaphoric planet/location (Planet Hair, whatever Lil Nas was doing, and Gag City(?), even Coldplay) After Joanne many girls went for the stripped back sound like Miley with Younger Now and Kesha with Rainbow. Also many seem to forget that when she exploded with The Fame that distinguishable RedOne pop sound became very popular in the late 00s. So yeah, anyone who says she doesn't set trends is delulu. Popboi. Posted July 15 Posted July 15 3 hours ago, frankgutz said: This is about album covers with the artists whole body on it, before Chromatica there was a trend of random pictures or the face of the main pop girl as the focus of the cover after Chormatica and what those covers share are images of the MPG full body with cool art and dofferent settings, something like that I'm sorry but if anything the only reason that type of cover is more common now is cause of Apple Music's animated cover feature, fully body covers with no text are the best fit for that, and some of 2019's biggest albums (bigger than Chromatica that is) have a full body in it as main focus (WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, Cuz I Love You).
SpaceOddity Posted July 15 Posted July 15 Leave it to her stans to reach for the stars with the stupidest comparisons they can come up with to convince themselves and their Monster circle jerk that anyone remotely cares about anything she's done musically since Joanne lol. 5

I know Katy Perry lyrics don't give you much enough to read and interpret, but that's not what I meant at all lmao. I said that Joanne gave some artists the inspiration to go back to their roots and have Miley's example. Not even as shade. Inspiration is not bad.

Might as well say Joanne inspired Taylor to make a folk album or Beyonce to make a country album 1
Erreur2 La Nature Posted July 15 Posted July 15 (edited) There isn't any similarity between the projects you mentionned in my opinion. The covers are too different and the sound isn't even the same. Chromatica hasn't had any type of influence on anyone. Monsters circle jerking after all of Gaga's albums pretending it's impactful is just weird at this point Edited July 15 by Erreur2 La Nature 1
