Regardless of what you think of Trump, POLITICAL VIOLENCE should always be repudiated. I read some comments (in Pop Base's tweet for example) that made me sick. Trump still is a human being. How can you wish death on another person, no matter how much you hate them? It is revolting. I sure hope this as bad as it gets. It's hard to feel sympathy for a man who causes so much suffering to innocent people's lives Why do politicians get to passively kill people with rhetoric, policies and actions but then we have to act shocked and sad when someone retaliates? To me, that perspective just seems like politicians are getting special treatment, which is absolutely the case and everyone should be aware of that. No one bats an eye when queer people get beat to death. No one bats an eye when a young woman has to get a back alley abortion and suffers critical injuries because of it. No one bats an eye when a homeless person burns on the hot streets of downtown Phoenix, yet they're all people too. So I just struggle to feel bad when it's like… well this is bed you made Trump. And you're right, he is human, so he should be treated like it and not revered as a god or someone above the law or someone above being retaliated against for what he's done and what he's caused. Whether I condone it or not is really besides the point, because this is simply something that was bound to happen and likely will continue to happen if politicians keep trying to **** everyone else over. 2 14

CaptainMusic Posted July 14 Posted July 14 This is only gonna help him now, dems can't use January 6th and say he's a threat to democracy (which he is) when someone's just tried to kill him on TV, makes him look innocent That dumbass shooter 1 1
duybeeGAshantiGA Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Anyone with a brain cell knows that this will help Trump a lot how can you say otherwise. That's just how psychology works. Unless it's proven that it's staged.

And we're seeing so many people online who want action in that matter also cheering for the attempts its a mess, just reacting to this event fuels his win

Men in Ukraine have no choice, they have to do it. I myself am against violence. I hope the democrats win, otherwise I think the situation will escalate. 1 1 1
Tovitov Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Trump wasnt actually hurt, so I dont think this will effect the election in the long run. Although he's definetly getting a short term boost. 1
brazil Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Do we know who the shooter was? Has it been confirmed that it was an assassination attempt? We cant jump to conclusions
Attitude Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Not people wishing he died as if they wouldn't prop up someone worse. Either scenario is awful. 2
BGKC Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Imagine if he did get his brains blown out on national television though. Riots would break out and Biden would be under serious threat. Nothing would get better.

Everyone should fear the consequences of this act, but why should anyone feel bad for him specifically? I'm really confused by this comment because even in countries that took the virus super seriously and had extreme lockdowns for months, such as my country ARGENTINA, there were still more than 100K deaths (and it has 1/9th of the US population)
JennyWayne Posted July 14 Posted July 14 4 minutes ago, GhostBox said: wait is this real? 💀😂 Possibly. If his ear was hit by a bullet it would probably be bleeding a lot more, so it's possible the shooter hit glass and the blood is from glass debris
