The sales drop for TTPD is a bit strange. Not talking about the extra copies added last week, but just the fall from 30K/week to 10K.

When's the last time she released a different version to buy? Feels like it's been a while (for Her standards). Maybe that's why

Em is 25+ years into his career and went #1 without any physical copies!! His longevity is amazing!! Artists in their fifties could only dream of the success that he has now. Congrats to my GOAT :clap3::katie2:

Or maybe the sales from before were artificial  and that's how it really is... Sis seems extra desperate this album cycle!

Not really strange though, week 7-8-9 were showing clear signs it was going to fall/stabilize in the 10-15k pure sales range sooner than later, especially week 8 (23k). 10k 5 weeks after doing 23k makes sense :michael: still the best selling album in pure sales this week outside new entries.

Good numbers for Eminem.

Madonna also did 280,000 first week with Hard Candy at 50.

If the sales are high, it's artificial, is they're low, it's real, got it :sadviolin:

Amazing numbers for Clairo. And to think she almost didn't make another album.

Indeed. Whitney Houston was #3 album of 1985 while TTPD is the biggest album of the year with a big gap from #2

It was the #1 album of 1986. IDK how the hell you got #3 and 1985.

I got 1985 because it was released in 1985. And no it was not bigger than Slippery When Wet or True Blue of 1986 either. How YOU got #1 album of 1986? Where was it #1 on?

Going by certifications and weeks at #1s. Whitney was pretty much ignored in 1985.

It is hard to get data of which albums sold most "in a year" because things were different back then and albums used to sell more even after 1 year (like Whitney's album). This is why i said it was #3 album of 1985 (as in 3rd biggest album from 1985 releases) while TTPD is most likely will end up as the biggest album among 2024 releases.
