State of Grace. Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Still slaps hard. I loved his album and I think it's his best, but I also wish he gave us more songs like this. Would have been a cute lil gay BRAT methinks! 3

MerveAksak Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Such a great song alongside one of your girls Wish the album tracks actually lived it up to them 1

Subversive Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Been following him since Happy Little Pill and this is absolutely my favorite release to date
Blue Monday Posted July 13 Posted July 13 This deserved to be a huge hit; I wish it would have gotten a bigger push. I've been meaning to get back into the album
LoveInStereo Posted July 13 Posted July 13 My take a year out: they didn't take the video far enough. The song isn't bad or memorable but the video had a shot at making the single a timeless/iconic moment if they committed to the bit more. For all the chatter about unapologetic queer joy, you'd see as much of a man's bare ass shopping at Guess or Abercrombie in the late 2000s. It's ironic that many of his most vocal detractors are neo-puritan not like other gays crying about him being over-sexualized while I suspect the reason this song didn't have a bigger impact is because it wasn't sexual enough. It's not shocking or distinct by 2020s standards. It's toothless softcore larping as smut. It's too meek to be memorable. That's just my 2cents. I think he should amp it up going into the next album cycle!
