Radio deal?

Playlisting?

Autoplay?

Remixes?

Discount of the physicals?

Tiktok spammig?

If you wanted a hit and could only pick 2 of these, which ones would you choose?

Radio and playlisting usually ensures a decently charting hit no matter how mid so those I guess.

you can get a smash if you actually put out something good

after seeing katy use trisha for that single that shall not be named

I wonder how much a legit massive youtuber would be asking in return of an artist getting them to play their song...

Paying influencers on TikTok / Reels to hype + use the song on their social medias. Dua had playlists + radios for the RO singles yet she still flopped, while Chappell didn't for Good Luck Babe! (initially) yet the song smashed. Obviously radios and playlists are important too, but I think TikTok decides what really become a hit or not nowadays.

Radio deal always makes sense. People hear the song and its extra points for the bb100.

if you can make people hear your song, you can also make them discuss about it.
tiktok payola could be next. That means that people are actually talking and enjoying the song.

look what happened with Bloody Mary.
tiktok hit became a huge moment

A bit of everything… playlisting and auto play right out of the gate.  Tic Tok to secure engagement. Radio will eventually pick up, they're more for longevity. But having a right off the bat deal with them doesn't hurt. They should have them all in waves.
