Ok as a Taylor fan this is getting kind of annoying. How many TTPD variants she has from different cities? Drop the damn Anthology

Genuinely curious what will end up being the final push for Billboard to change the rules about remixes/variants.

What do you propose as a fix cause to Billboard a valid purchase is a purchase, as long as it's not a bulk buy or an unfinished transaction. They already have a great system of filtering fraud units (especially from streaming).

She really wants the sole record, it's pathetic.

The Tortured Poets Department matches Whitney Houston's 1987 album Whitney as the only two albums by women to spend their first 11 weeks at No. 1. All 11 of the latter's total weeks at No. 1 were from its debut atop the chart.

Isn't Eminem predicted to debut with around 500k? I don't think she can outsell him with those digital versions alone... unless she drops The Anthology physicals (which I'm pretty sure she will do :rip:)

I'm sure not even her fans can tell how many versions of the same album she has released at this point. It is ridi:deadbanana:culous

A limitation on the number of variants that count towards the charts for a start, there's no reason why one album should have THIS many copies available. They've already implemented a limit on how many copies count per consumer. I also don't agree with "acoustic" versions that are very obviously spliced from the ordinary song and slapped over an instrumental.

That's impossible to track and/or filter though. You can stop how many copies count per transaction, but "variants" are always split between a lot of retailers.

I have never seen someone release so many versions. When will it end
