The number of male rappers who put out similar sounding music without changing their image and nobody bats an eye. xfreshkidxx Posted July 11 Posted July 11 (edited) The fact that most of ATRL shares his same opinions. All her **** sounds the same but they want to drag him. Edited July 11 by xfreshkidxx

He went from claiming Meg was lying about being shot, to backtracking, to gagging over Big Foot, to trying to hang around Megan at a party, to now trying to have an objective criticism of her career. I don't think his take is necessarily wrong, but I think he's proven himself to be someone with no integrity who'll switch up at a moment's notice. 4 2

Having a new look/sound is great but like you said, women face a lot more pressure to "evolve" than men 1
Wicked Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Female rappers biggest hurdle will always be the producers they can work with. It's the biggest issue, they're making do with scraps more or less and unfortunately at a time when the production matters most to Rap listeners it's a issue. (Mostly sexist reasons, but they also don't have the budgets too) But this is also a year where we've gotten **** like Blue Lips and Dark Times, Earned It, etc,. very sonically and thematically layered Rap albums so these criticisms are coming for everybody. 2022 and 2023 were considered bad years for the genre albums wise. 1

He just talked about her lying about their relationship (which was true) + the holes in story about the shooting (which there were). He does tend to praise someone one moment and throw shade the next. Especially women. So I agree with that criticism of his content. But idk if I would call him a Meg hater per se. OT: I haven't even watched yet, but she does need to evolve. And I say that as someone who's a fan. But it's not just her, a lot of artists aren't evolving lately. 1
