xTurn Posted November 26 Posted November 26 The album is great, I just don't get Corazon and Love bites as singles, both songs are the weakest on it. Fantasy, Honesty, Ready for myself would been better I think. 1

usedtobemine Posted December 1 Posted December 1 I'm disappointed mostly due to the short length of most of the songs. Just when there could be a buildup, a bridge, it's already ending. I think her artistry looses half of its potential and makes the songs less memorable. I had to listen to the full album multiple times, yet I still can't remember some tracks... TOP3 for me is: Floodgate (such a lovely, sweet and nostalgic soundscape) Corazón (quintessential Nelly Furtado) Honesty (fun upbeat pop tune done right)

She's already talking about a next album and I've heard from multiple sources, and a fanpage, that plans for a tour have been scrapped cuz no one wants to fund it after the numbers (or lack thereof) that 7 pulled. The only company willing to sponsor anything is Redbull, and that's just for a 25th anniversary tour focusing on Whoa Nelly, Folklore and Loose. But time will tell I guess. 1
steve89 Posted December 3 Posted December 3 I'm sad and disappointed this did not do good on charts, and therefore we can not obtain more things from this era. The era concept was good, the album is solid, and even when it's a short album and I'd love it would last longer. Nelly seemed very happy while creating this album and performing it. She deserved better with this album. Hope we can get that deluxe version. 3
Dark Miracles Posted December 3 Posted December 3 A tour is obviously not happening unless she opens for a bigger name or does a joint tour with Gwen. But she can at least give us the deluxe, or compile the next best 12 tracks from these sessions and release '8' early next year (including The Driver hopefully). She has 400 songs I mean 2

A lot of these songs feel like "concepts of a song" that are unfinished. But she did mention that she saw it as a fashion collection and she wanted to give people something new to remix, so maybe the goal of the album was to give people new music to mashup and complete, almost like DIY? It's just unfortunate it didn't resonate with the general public, and a lot of her core fanbase... 1

Just get Gwen or Fergie and do a joint tour or ask Justin to open for him ala Ciara and Missy a 25th tour is fine, Avril's greatest hit tour is doing just fine 1

And if Timbo, Justin, Gwen and/or Fergie were also there, that would probably heal my inner child. So if there is a debate about sending her on tour, I hope they are open to a 25th tour, even if it's a multi-headliner. Edited December 4 by algrominsky Forgot a couple names 1

Nelly timbaland keri hilson and call it a day then Europe tour with James Morrison (would he do it for the coins?) australia with dom dolla (friends) S g Lewis int the UK (fiends) And solo tour in Mexico/Brazil canada tour with Alesia Cara (same management before?) honestly they could plan an international tour and if a success then that would help get the financial for US tour 2

Dark Miracles Posted December 4 Posted December 4 She's performing at the Invictus Games opening in February and Katy is too, maybe she could open for Katy's tour It would definitely be smart and Nelly is humble enough for that I think, Gwen also opened on a UK leg of P!nk's tour recently so it's not unprecedented 1
Cherish Posted December 12 Posted December 12 Finally got my signed copy, and it's actually kind of a slay it's thick stock card paper Spoiler 1

Have you gotten yours yet, has yours been delayed, or is your order stuck in limbo? I just sent an inquiry to UMG, and apparently it's been delayed. Thanks for letting me know! 🤣😂 They've now delayed 3/4 of my Nelly Furtado shop orders without any communication. The 4th order on the otherhand, they assigned a tracking number to on the 18th, but it only actually shipped last night.
