manuelalex9810 Posted July 11 Posted July 11 A lot of Grammy-winning songs are forgettable, but a lot of diamond songs will go down in history as iconic classics. 10

Apostolis Posted July 11 Posted July 11 it depends on who I am stanning when the question is being done 11
Erreur2 La Nature Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I don't see what's "impressive" in getting an award (grammy or anything else). They're often bought/negociated by the artists and the label and when it's not, it simply means that you got selected by a small group who voted. Now getting successful songs/albums is on a whole other level. It brings you visibility, popularity, opportunities, actual success, money at some point of your career and your work is loved by the public. Nothing is more rewarding for an artists than that. If you can have both that's amazing but artists that brutally campaign to get awards all the time don't necessarily do it for the right reasons in my humble opinion. 3 4
ChooseyLover Posted July 11 Posted July 11 (edited) Diamond albums and GRAMMYs No but really. GRAMMYs don't mean a damn thing. Edited July 11 by ChooseyLover 1

Kakihara Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Diamond singles and albums go down in history, pay the bills, sell out arenas and stadiums. No one g af about grammys, they're a cute show to argue about for about a week, like the WW cup or the super bowl. 3
Titanbaddie Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I've never heard anyone get introduced as "Diamond single having recording artist" - which suggests in the real world nobody cares about it I've heard plenty of people get introduced as "Grammy award winning artist" which suggests it means something in the real world at the end of the day it's best to have both so you don't have to choose. 1 1
KillingYourCareer Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Neither pairing is impressive. Diamond singles = millions of people bought and streamed your music, it's a classic among the GP; Grammy = a jury handed you an award, the public might as well have never heard of you.

MALAMENTE Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Diamond certifications. That means people care about what you put out. You can have 10 Grammys and be a complete unkown to the people. 1
thatsmydemi Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Diamond singles. Have you seen some of the winners or nominees of the past years?
