Jay L Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Am I the only one pleasantly surprised at how great these newer Gen Z girls are? Gives me hope for the future lol. Let's discuss these talented ladies and their live performance skills. 1 12 1
Dula Peep Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Most of the money in music now is from live performing so you have to be a good performer to hit it big imho 5 1
BrattyBottom Posted July 10 Posted July 10 The moment Chappel won me over was that TV performance on Fallon. Not only did she LOOK the part but she has a great VOICE. A LOT of the girlies were ROUGH 2007-2015. 2
discosean Posted July 10 Posted July 10 WHERE is the quality?! Chappell and Tate were decent. The rest looked like amateur kindergarten graduations. 2 3
Cain Posted July 10 Posted July 10 I wouldn't say they're amazing (except Chappell) but it's true that the main focus of today is the tour You need to be able to SELL a liveshow if you want to be profitable, so you have to have stage presence and good performing skills/a stable voice 1
aesthetic bih Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Smart. They know that touring is where the money is at, so that's why they are working towards that 2
Funnyfatty Posted July 10 Posted July 10 I'm shocked because i kind of agree Tyla and Chappel are slowly winning me too 1

Biggest money maker for artists have always been concerts aka live performances It's no wonder many western artists don't tour
ChooseyLover Posted July 10 Posted July 10 (edited) Only Tate, Tyla and Chappell belong here... and none of these performances are the best examples Edited July 10 by ChooseyLover 1 1
Dash_inthedark Posted July 10 Posted July 10 (edited) I agree. Billie has been an incredible live performer since the beginning (14-15) and has only gotten better and better. Between Wwimf and now HMHS, she has solidified herself as a great vocalist and will only continue to improve. Let's not forget she is only 22 and has literally gone through the maturing and changes of her voice in the public eye. Her live performances are always top notch and have contributed to her success without a doubt. Chappell is amazing. Her voice is so good, and she shows the experience of all the years performing before reaching this level of fame at her age (26). She also brings the theatricality that was lacking in this new generation, and people were craving it. She is definitely on the rise and here to stay. Sabrina is a very consistent live performer, which I appreciate. Her music is not what I usually listen to, but she is clearly a good live performer. Tyla is great live too. I had no idea, but I think she has so much potential and is probably here to stay. Olivia and Tate are good performers but not great vocalists. Olivia has shown some inconsistencies in her live performances, but she is still young and getting better. It's just not as natural for her, it will take some work to reach the level some of the others have naturally. Tate is a great dancer, but vocally, not so much. I really don't like the tone of either of their voices and can't listen to their music because of it. This is just my personal taste, of course. I understand that some people like it, but it's not for me. Edited July 10 by Dash_inthedark 1

ReneighIsHere Posted July 10 Posted July 10 (edited) Yes they are. Nobody is doing it like Emilia Edited July 10 by ReneighIsHere
єѕℓαм Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Chappell is amazing and you can tell she grew up watching Gaga's performances Tyla is a great performer she ate and it goes without saying Doja Cat is one of if not the beat performer out of the newer girlies
Afterglow Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Yall. No. The era that millennials had just can't be recreated. People just don't have it anymore to be iconic and interesting. They just don't have it. And Tinashe and Doja are literally millennials too. 1
