PoisonedIvy Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Picture it: The year was 2007. 11 year old me would log into YouTube from the desktop computer in the office/game room at my grandma's house. I scroll past the hard rock AMV's of Naruto fights, past the SIMS recreated music video recommendations, and past the Smosh, DaveDays, and KurtHugoSchneider subscriptions and recommendations that usually catch my eye. Instead, I voluntarily type into the search bar 3 specific sad songs — for whatever reason an 11 year old would feel the need to. Those 3 songs were as follows: These 3 songs never failed to bring a tear to my prepubescent eyes. Emotional turbulence beyond my comprehension at the time, but the music videos were so vulnerable and raw that even my undeveloped mind was able to resonate with these songs. What songs played that role for you?
PoisonedIvy Posted July 10 Author Posted July 10 Honorable mention to TOTGA which kind of became a 4th song in this rotation upon its release But by this point I had started dating and understanding the sadness of family dynamics/heartbreak/friends growing apart, etc, so the sadness was actually understood on a slightly deeper level. Taylor's Last Kiss would probably join them if it had a music video, it's still incredibly sad but the three in the OP + TOTGA specifically had me in shambles over the music videos, where Last Kiss is just raw sadness in music form. 1
Gladiator Posted July 10 Posted July 10 (edited) This is the only song that comes to mind. Some Disney songs I think made me cry too. Edited July 10 by Gladiator

Alldeezy Posted July 10 Posted July 10 LOL I barely cried to songs. ... probably this one because my 13 year old ass would cry and dramantic sing every word to it back in 2005
zuper Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Lucky by Britney Spears, especially after ten years old me saw the media destroying her 2007
