BraveNewSeth Posted July 10 Posted July 10 I was never a big fan of it. But I do appreciate how she did something completely different with the song rather than a karaoke cover.
Eternium Posted July 10 Posted July 10 One of the greatest covers and music videos of all time. You can always tell when someone's tasteless because they pretend to prefer Bobby's awful version.

Le Grande Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Always loved it, one of her best videos as well and she has plenty to choose from.
DuffStan Posted July 10 Posted July 10 (edited) Something about this song and its video makes me feel like a dangerous woman. Edited July 10 by DuffStan
Shinning Posted July 10 Posted July 10 It's one of her best songs. Which considering her discography isn't saying much but at least she doesn't sound like an auto-tuned chipmunk as she usually does. 2
Erreur2 La Nature Posted July 10 Posted July 10 I agree that it's one of the best popgirl covers of all-time. She managed to make it hers with her own touch. I actually had no idea it was a cover back in the days. It's a 10/10.
Polgg48 Posted July 10 Posted July 10 always prefer this over original, some touch that britney possess and bobby didnt
Fevesy Posted July 10 Posted July 10 It was my favourite Britney song as a kid, I remember constantly swapping music channels in 2004 and 2005 to watch the MV. Shocked and appalled it wasn't as big as of a hit in the US as it was in Europe
Virgos Groove Posted July 10 Posted July 10 It's good, but the original is a new jack swing MASTERPIECE. 1

The whole DBC era was classic after classic and I just know young Britney was bopping to the album as a kid. I thought the decision to cover MP was a bold choice by Brit but a right one. She's always had good taste in music and is clearly more musically knowledgeable than the average Britney stan which is always funny to me. I also appreciate the female spin on it. Bobby even somewhat liked it... well the video and the royalties he receives from it lol. He apparently would rather people not cover it as it's personal to him but he says he likes Britney. 1

Migs Posted July 10 Posted July 10 It's an amazing song but sadly forgotten among so many hits in her catalog. I remember the rumors back in 2004 that she was going to perform it at the VMA's. If only she had promoted this song/GH album. She had just won a Grammy and was at her peak. It could've been another big moment for her.
