James_Dean Posted July 9 Posted July 9 I remember she had me back in the day with Hourglass and then fell off... let's see what's next
Totami Legend Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Epic? She is like an Ava Max on feminine steroids, she can really sing. Loved her EP and droplets. 40 minutes ago, Freaky Prince said: About four years late Does that mean she has to start recording all over again? She lived in LA and worked with The Dream for so long. he recently got r Ape and S Battery allegations, maybe this is the reason why she finally moved on from that situation? 1
Polgg48 Posted July 9 Posted July 9 so delightful react towards the news, she's been in limbo for a while glad label sees her talent and release quality music asap.
postergirl Posted July 10 Posted July 10 I hope they don't fumble her. It's been forever since she's released music! 2
Burqa Posted July 10 Posted July 10 i thought she had retired but signing with epic records is kinda the same thing i don't expect to hear an album anytime soon
paper moon Posted July 10 Posted July 10 So basically we're still going to be left in limbo for another few years
ninetiesceline Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Been rooting for her for so long. Hope she finally gets what she deserves cause shes so talented. 1
ChooseyLover Posted July 10 Posted July 10 All these "Epic is bad" comments but nobody bothers to explain why. I googled some of their artists and it seems far better than Universal, Atlantic, RCA, Capitol, etc.
Delirious Posted July 10 Posted July 10 idk why she took a 4 year break. that's literally insane esp for an artist for her but wishing her the best
Cain Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Hourglass and Heartbreak Hotel were BOPS, I thought she was gonna make it Congrats to her for getting signed 1

Please, someone, enlighten us! I'm so excited to see her starting a new journey in music. I loved most of her releases back in the day and I can't wait for more. 1

I found a Reddit thread about bad labels and they said Epic didn't care about artistry but they were a label with good ethics unlike Atlantic (is that even compatible?) It was the home of 5H, Camila Cabello until Familia, Hikaru Utada's current label, Tyla, Shakira's during Laundry Service, the Oral Fixations 1 and 2, She Wolf and Sale el Sol; Avril's during her selftitled era, etc. IF they invest in her, it seems like a good enough label to me. Wouldn't mind seeing Alice getting some of that good stuff. But I hear you about mediocre material (not sure whose fault that is tho) and her career not going as well as it could be (especially in the US, I feel). Edited July 10 by ChooseyLover

I'm kinda scared now lol Edited July 10 by ChooseyLover 1
