Do you prefer being complimented on your looks and physical appearance or your personality and interests?

It depends on the person.  If it is my family, definitely my personality.  If it is my partner, probably my looks.  If it is my boss, definitely my personality.

I hate it when they talk about my looks. Like there's nothing for me to say. Taste is a very subjective thing.

At least when they say something about personality they can support their claims.

personality.

beauty fades and looks are subjective. with personality someone is doing a deeper analysis on who u are and what u stand for which is a greater compliment.

Personality tbh.

I already know I'm good-looking, someone telling me doesn't really add much. But I do think about how my personality is perceived by others.

I personally exaggerate my compliments to people when it comes to physical appearance just to be nice and make their day. Nothing too crazy.

I would never lie and say someone has a great personality. That's something that you have to earn. It's already enough that I have to fake laugh at bad jokes all day. I don't need people thinking they're funnier or more interesting than they actually are when I just want them to stfu.

Personality.

Sure, it does feel good to be complimented on your looks, but knowing someone actually likes you for who you are has no comparison to physical attraction.

Looks, through and through...:gaygacat5:Plus I have never been complimented on personality

I hate getting compliments on my look because it makes me more self conscious and start giving too much **** about how I look. Getting compliment on my personality is always better because it truly makes me feel good about myself!

Personality. It's a deeper and more substantial compliment. :giraffe:

It depends. But if it's from a potential romantic partner (as in, someone I'm talking to from the apps for awhile or someone I've been casually dating/seeing), I actually prefer compliments on personality.

I don't mean to sound conceited, but I know I'm conventionally attractive enough that most men will find me hot enough to have sex with. Men are easy in that way lol. But a compliment from a guy I like on who I actually am as a person feels so much more comforting and rare because, at least in my experience, a lot of men usually try to stay emotionally distant

I already know I'm a 10/10, absolutely stunning so I like when people can see me outside of my extreme surface beauty.

The ego of some of you :toofunny3: or you're just straight up lying...

Anyway, both feels nice so I guess it depends on the person you receive them from...

honestly looks but looks fade, personality doesn't

I interpreted this as what feels better when you get them from people in passing. As someone who has received both while working at a restaurant, personality by far. Those hit so different and I still remember the people's faces who said it and the conversations I had with them vs the looks compliments lol

Personality as I don't believe in anyone who compliments my looks
