She has been selling out arena shows around the world in recent years too. Does that mean she has become a bigger live draw than she was during her peak?

Yes it's been obvious for while Avril legacy is bigger than her peers Britney and Xtina :giraffe:

Means she is a huge legacy act, but will those people turn for her new music?

Most of legacy act flopped with their new music anyway. Even P!nk.

It just means that she's a popular legacy act, doesn't necessarily mean it will translate to sales.

Avril needs a new stylist. Whenever I see a recent picture of her she looks like she bought her clothes in the children section of a primark. It's atrocious.

this is exactly what a rebellious 9-14 year old girl would wear.

Yes! Her legacy aged like wine for next generation + she has that cool, youth rebellious factor

That still doesn't equate to album sales.

Anh who asked about album sales tho? :eli: Didn't we all agree that legacy act won't sell album anymore but touring instead?

Yes, it means that she's a goth-punk moment of female rage at being gaslit by an entire social structure!

Today's market is not about selling albums anymore. Streams translated sales bring in little profit compared to selling physical albums. Most people tour to gross the bulk of their profit. And she's been so beloved by the new generation that actually bring her to the forefront of the early 2000s nostalgia acts. Also her discography has been aging so well that people start to realize how good she is and selling out the **** of arenas around the world. This is insane cause prior 2015, stats always said her weakest market is NA and then Europe but now, she's averaging millions per night. Amazing years for Avril and more to come.

It probably means that 80k people felt annoyed and dissappointed by her lack of energy and enthusiasm.

Girlie could do so much better if she just tried a BIT.

That's a festival. People who attend those are also there to see other acts.

I would hope so after her tragic setlist decision - I'm glad she decided to add "Nobody's Home" and "Losing Grip" though

And drawing 80K attendence is not impressive at all to you?

There are tons of article how impressive her glastonbury was due to the fact that she attracted larger crowd than artist perfoming at the main stage. And this even draw a bigger crowd
