It's quite frankly an insult the same woman who made Ray of Light and Confessions made an album of that caliber. It's only as politically brave as social media feminism gets but not creative? The way she presented those trite themes is incredibly unusual and highly creative. Medellin is not representative of that album. If you strip off the generic songs ***** I'm Loca , Crave and Faz Gostoso you have a very peculiar album that doesn't sound like pop music. ROL and Confessions are introspective personal and diaristic, the opposite of what she was trying to do with MX and honestly more in line with Taylor's style. Edited July 8 by HonourableVomit 1 1
The7thStranger Posted July 8 Posted July 8 (edited) Taylor could not pull of Madame X because that album is primarily just built on tropes common to Madonna's career and artistic language. The fact that Madonna couldn't even pull it off is just proof that the album lacked proper direction and grounding. A bad idea is a bad idea, no matter who pushes it forward. It should have never seen the light of day. Edited July 8 by The7thStranger
