Katy Perry’s Witness debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart this week on the strength of 23,000 total consumption units.

Born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, this is the former American church choir singer’s third straight chart-topper, following 2010’s Teenage Dream and 2013’s Prism.

Witness is the also the best-selling album in the week, the third highest digital song download album, and the sixth highest on-demand stream album.

this include ticket bundle too.

#3 song sales, #6 streams are great result, much better than she did in US.

Is 23k good?

80k is platinum, so it's already gone gold.

Not in sales. Gold is 40k in Canada but they probably have shipped that already.

And only 6 shows in Canada eligibe for the ticket bundle too.

But would it even count? It ships from Texas so would it be considered an American sale? Like if I bought an album from Amazon.com or UK it would count as a sale for that country.

those are canada ticket and soundscan is chart provider in canada too.

so why not? those are not sales from retailer, but ticket bundle. different sales.

edit: oh yes. they do count it. metallica had 14 - 2 jump in sales chart with ticket bundle in march.
