Times when a single outshined the lead single

I'm sure no one can argue about Toxic' stellar critical and commercial performance, even I completely forgot MATM was the lead single from ITZ after a while. Both are absolute bops tho.

Any other examples? :gaycatina1:

Why this is not upscaled to 4k is beyond me. All of the back to basics videos should have been remastered to 4k I swear she has the worst team ever. Useless team if you ask me.

Imagine saying Beautiful outshined Dirrty when it is evidently not the case. Both songs are equally impactful in their own right.

Coldplay's entire career :rip:

Shiver > Yellow

In My Place > The Scientist

Speed of Sound > Fix You

Violet Hill > Viva la Vida

Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall > Paradise

Magic > A Sky Full of Stars

Adventure of a Lifetime > Hymn for the Weekend

Higher Power > My Universe

Everyday Life era only had Orphans / Arabesque as a double lead single so it doesn't count.

Stronger (WDKY) > Mr Know It All

Behind These Hazel Eyes > Breakaway (though I love BA too)

I'm With You > Complicated

How Do You Sleep > Leavin' [Jesse McCartney] (it used to be the other way around for me)

Teenage Dream > California Gurls

Into You > Dangerous Woman & Focus (Seriously, why is Into You not a #1 Pop Airplay hit??!!)

Be Kind > Without Me [Halsey]

Tired of Being Sorry > Do You Know (Ping Pong Song)

Paparazzi > Just Dance

Telephone > Bad Romance

Do What U Want > Apple Sauce

Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) > The Suburbs

Afterlife > Reflektor

You're actually kind of right. Poker face>Just Dance, Million Reasons>Perfect Illusion, ROM>Stupid Love. Idk if Telephone did better than Bad Romance but it certainly did well. DWUW was a disaster and I'm pretty certain that it didn't out chart Applause. Judas has had a resurgence but did it really do better than BTW?
