To be honest I also used to think Kesha's early stuff sounded like a product of its time. Until I revisited her discography and realized that it's not that. It's just that her sound, the production, the lyrics, her voice, her personality, were all really specific and different compared to her peers and nobody else has done it quite like that ever since. She redefined the Pop landscape and even cowrote/sang on hits for other people. The 2010s sound like Kesha.
