It's always "fanbase driven" with Taylor anyway. She was fanbase driven during folkmore, she still was during Midnights, and she is now too. I wonder how each album still gets bigger than the previous one if it's always the fanbase.

At this point it's just a coping mechanism.

this is why she will never be overexposed, because her music isn't shoved in your face. you need to listen to it voluntarily and as numbers show, many people are doing it :coffee2:

the coping is unreal, keep using fanbase driven if it makes you sleep better at night

by this logic CC is bigger despite atrl calling it forgotten

you can make a point if its only holding strong in the us, but its still top 10 in so many countries

she sells very well and she has a huge following, she has no culture impact but she has the fame and that's what she is after. I don't see a problem

Maybe these users should appeal to Elon to create a Twitter Hot 200 chart then since Twitter vibes are seemingly the preferable metric of success over streams & sales (unless it's their fave who's at #1 ofc).

The way Taylor would have a permanent recidency at #1 om this chart too lmao

Fortnight was played on the radio for the first couple of weeks after release, but that aside, the album has been completely avoidable irl I agree.

This exact statement was repeated over and over about Midnights.

"No real hits" was said endlessly about folkmore.

"Only the fanbase cares now" about Lover.

"The GP doesn't listen to her anymore" was Rep's reputation.

Yes, it was even said about 1989 by a few brave warriors, who have since become veterans.

And we're still here with the biggest artist of the century, so now what?

The way this album came out on my birthday, and I was told that my birthday can literally wait since it's "Taylor's day". :spin:

I told y'all the bulk of the sales/streams for this are coming from the Swifties obsessively streaming/buying the multiple versions and not the GP and y'all jumped me but it's the truth

Her sales are giving BTS

Did BTS debut with 2.6M first week on BB200? Girl get your facts straight and try again.

Midnights at least had Anti-Hero as a universal smash that everyone knew.

Fortnight on the other hand was definitely a hype and fan base driven.

Obviously she has a much bigger fanbase in the US than them so the numbers will be bigger. She is American you know…
