We need past VMA ceremonies on streaming

Seriously, does any company treat their legacy WORSE than MTV??? 40 years of pop culture history gathering dust in their archives. :hoetenks:

Imagine if they got all the ceremonies in HQ/HD on Paramount+, or even tried to sell them to Netflix/Amazon/Disney+. They could get $12.50 for the whole thing, $13 if they haggle. Amazon has VH1's Behind the Music, so it's not unheard of.

They could release three shows a week during the summer to build up hype for this year's ceremony. Stans would eat it up. :jonny:

I guess it is because of licensing problems, isn't it? Licenses are expensive and they don't want to pay, especially now that they are in financial trouble. They do not trust that it is profitable.

Exactly. If MTV were still mainstream, we probably would've gotten most of the past VMAs on DVD or something, just like the NFL/NBA does with their legacy media. Ugh sports fans have it so good. :chick3:
