Cracking Top 40 on pop airplay would be major too. Her first since Good Old Days?

Since Raising Hell!

Raising Hell got to the mid 20s… but we pretend it doesn't exist. :heart2:

To be a fly on the wall in the room where her team picked that as the lead single.

It's a bop (for me at least), it was sadly just the wrong choice for a lead single at that point in time.

Give Tom a chance to defend the quality of High Road's music and he'll take it

It's her worst album, but that doesn't mean it's a bad album.

I said what I said :sorry:.

I will too. Watch me raising hell and chasing thunder for my good sis High Road. Sharing this stunning cover to get y'all High Road naysayers all triggered:

I don't know if she really had any realistic single options from that album but I wish they had gone with Resentment as the second official one.

Also High Road is not her worst album but let me keep it cute. :gaycat4:

Joyride organically being picked up by radio and (hopefully) ending its run in the top 40 is huge, this will lay the template for radio to pick up the next song a bit faster if it also does well on streaming. It's still not too late to give this song a bit of a boost with a late night performance and interview or something, but I can still understand withholding budget for the next single or closer to an album release.

My only concern is since this is still growing a bit on radio, it's probably in her best interest to hold off on releasing something new this month. But with holidays approaching soon, it might be better to hold off releasing anything until January.

I think the insiders have more or less confirmed that we're not getting an album this year, and a second single isn't on the way.

That said, it's interesting that she's been teasing Freedom and some track titles. It seems she at least has some sense of what the record is shaping up to be.

All I know is that bomb-ass Freedom leak with the ballad that transitions into an operatic guitar driven crescendo better be the album opener. Or I will have some words for Miss Sebert :chick1:

oh that's right, I forgot about Freedom. Maybe she can capitalize on Harris winning by releasing that generic bop, it does sound like the straights would love it

I'm convinced that Chasing Thunder would have been a Hot AC smash hit if it had been the lead single.

Exactly! The best part is that it confirms that it is possible to get radio support as an independent artist if the music does well enough. I honestly thought she'd never get airplay ever again from now on since labels have such a big sway on radio…so glad to be proven wrong.
