TomTom Posted September 2 Posted September 2 (edited) A pop station from Washington, D.C. is currently Joyride's biggest supporter (17 spins, up 15 from last week and highest audience among stations currently playing it). Second-highest audience is a Boston pop station with a slight increase in spins. If more pop stations from urban areas start picking up Joyride, it has a greater chance of longevity airplay-wise. BornUnbroken Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Just listened to the radio version, it's actually very cute! she could've just said "beep beep babe" tho and it would've fit the song well too. let me call the LA radio station real quick for a few spins 3

CroNich Posted September 4 Posted September 4 The clean version is fine, it could be better but I've heard a lot worse. More car/drag race (not rupaul) sounds over the swears would've been fun. 1
TomTom Posted September 4 Posted September 4 The fact that we ditched the Spotify updates once the streams dropped below 600k only for radio to step in and fill the gap. 1

I think the streams would have to rise quite a bit for that (closer to where they were in July), though I'm not totally sure by how much. However, the more airplay it gets, the more likely charting becomes. 1 1

If it's indeed true that we have to wait a bit for her to release something else, then it's nice to see radio picking this up after two months. It keeps the momentum alive to a degree. I don't know how much airplay longevity it will have and how far it can climb, though I guess the prospects are good if the streams remain stable. It will take a few days at least for it to crack the Top 40 because the spin difference is getting bigger, but I think it should be doable. 1
