no surprises, sis needs promo

well she'd definitely be getting a lot of promo online if she releases the same day as that other yt girl, promo that's much more substantial these days than releasing a dead on arrival music video or performing on late night tv

But would Luke would still be profiting off of the songs he's credited as a co-writer though?

That's what I'd assume.

Finally, clean version on Spotify. I can now play this song at my workplace out loud.

I need her to go on tv and promote the song there with some interviews. Such things also go viral on the internet and give lots of exposure.

I believe she milked the drama perfectly and also tiktok, but we need something else now for this song

I know some people in here believe she should further push Joyride instead of moving on to the next song, but look at this:

The gap between Joyride and whatever the next song will be is already her longest since Warrior (currently 36 days).

Die Young —> C'Mon:52 days

Praying —> Woman: 7 days

Raising Hell —> My Own Dance:28 days

ETA/FL —> OLCSUN: 19 days

In merely 2 weeks, the gap will have matched the duration of that of DY/C'Mon, despite the former being a smash hit lead single that theoretically could have carried the album in its own without another promo single (even though that sadly didn't happen).

Even Cannibal had Sleazy and Cannibal being released as promo tracks very shortly after WRWWR, despite Blow being released as official second single months later.

It's a little different in this case because she hasn't announced the album yet, but what I'm saying is the fact that there are many people who have not had enough of this independently-released track yet which hasn't really received a proper push and is not blowing up on radio either after over a month is a HUGE achievement for her and unlike any of her previous eras.

I know there is the lingering feeling that Joyride deserved more with a bigger push, but the pacing of this progression towards the next song is already slower than everything besides Warrior (soon to be matched) and Animal (complimentary).

I also don't mind the pacing and love that they're giving Joyride room to breathe. It feels like an EVENT with endless possibilities. I still have hope she will get a modest hit out of this.
