I like the mean girls reference and the production is on point. Reminds me of Blah blah blah and blow.

I know I've said it before, but this is truly one of her best shoots ever.

Not even during peak Ke$ha days did she look this good.

It feels like a modern take of those weird Gwen Stefani tracks like "Wind It Up" or "What You Waiting For". I like it. Feels very fresh and unique. The way it keeps going silent for one second then picks right back up. How it is short but uses every second of its runtime. How the teased part is at the very end.

I'm kind of loving it. It's weird but fun at the same time. I hope this is the sound of the album

she looked pretty good from like 2013-2016 I believe in her tv era. She had so many looks.

Regardless of how relevant iTunes is, that's all coin going DIRECTLY into mother's pockets. Not everyone has that.

This is fantastic and a lot of fun. I'm obsessed. Totally fresh but also somehow strangely nostalgic.

Mother indeed.

American Songwriter Best New Releases:

Quote

"Joyride" – Kesha

Kesha released her first single since being freed from her contract under Dr. Luke in December. "Joyride" has a bit of the atmosphere of her early music, but her vocals are much more mature and the song's production is top-notch in a way that her early 2010s stuff never had. It's unique and fun in that truly Kesha way, while the lyrics speak speak to the freedom to do whatever she wants. It's nice to see her back in the saddle.

Is there a chance for this to chart somehow?

If it somehow goes viral on tik tok and x maybe but it's not looking likely right now, it's not doing terrible either all things considering. Hopefully she can keep building hype as the era rolls out.

I think if she releases a few more singles before the album, she has a chance of the album charting.

first thought the song would be a mess but it's actually so good and addictive. very camp and I get the drag race similarities but she can pull it off

I haven't used Kesha in a loooong time but this is a certified bop. Very reminiscent of her early stuff but also very new. It's really weird and quirky, I love it
