goverm3nth0ker Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Though i think Victoria Justice gave more MPG vibes, Miranda was so underrated like she had bop after bop (my personal favorites Adored, Disgusting) so i personally choose her music. What do you think? 1
Doctor Dick Posted June 25 Posted June 25 (edited) Ok, so. Listening to all of those until after the first chorus I have to say that both of them lack that something that a MPG has. Victoria is pretty but nothing distinctive other than that and the songs sound so bland. At least all of those you posted. Miranda is giving Hilary Duff vocals but looks like a 14 year old. She does have the better songs as "Stay My Baby" is pretty catchy but the most accurate description of how an artist can make or break a hit is the last example. The original is by a girl group from the UK and they were big there and you can easily tell why. Miranda sounds like a cover, she turned the song into a Disney tune while the original has much more flavor and is better recorded. So any of the MPG could probably have turned one of Victoria's and Miranda's songs into cute hits but Victoria or Miranda would've flopped with one of theirs. Give Umbrella to one of these two and it will sound horrendous. And that's exactly why they couldn't break through into MPG status and someone like Miley and Ariana could. Miranda wins by an inch but none of them serve bops. Edited June 25 by Doctor Dick 1
Filthy Pop Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Kissin U, Dancing Crazy, ABOUT YOU NOW(!!)….Miranda is taking it 2 1
nostalgic Posted June 25 Posted June 25 You forgot one that could give Victoria the edge here 22 minutes ago, goverm3nth0ker said: (my personal favorites Adored, Disgusting) There's the taste the gems of that album. 2
dirrtydiana Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Victoria>>> take a hint alone>>>>> bonus: treat myself by Victoria is also great 1
Opulent Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Both have bops, but I'll have to give it to Victoria because of the nostalgia factor of growing up with her songs on Victorious. Freak the Freak Out and Beggin On Your Knees especially had little me in a chokehold, I was obsessed when those episodes came out.
Asscatchem Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Victoria was actually meant to be a star. The millennial Olivia Rodrigo Miranda's music career was just a cash grab
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Victoria's Victorious bops are so good but if we take her self-released stuff… Miranda chewed a bit 1
ariesgroove Posted June 25 Posted June 25 victoria but miranda puts up a fight for sure, bam & disgusting are so nostalgic for me
Mtjjproducer Posted June 25 Posted June 25 miranda was and is one of the worst actors to musician. Bad music and she can't sing Victoria washes Miranda
Vixen Eyes Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Miranda will ALWAYS be my fav out of the ex acts for me including Ariana tbh I feel ROBBED of a second Miranda album just like we were robbed of a second Bridgit Mendler album!
Ger Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Like both, but Miranda: Kissin U, There Will Be Tears, About You Know, Dancing Crazy >> "Freak the Freak Out" is a mega bop anyways.
ithinkheknowsoutsold Posted June 25 Posted June 25 (edited) Miranda easily. Edited June 25 by ithinkheknowsoutsold
