Haven't listened to it yet, but her fans seem happy with her new music!

These threads are getting kinda annoying, why?

Very depressing once again that social media hype has failed another black girl. People beg for more black pop girls but only give them twitter hype or hype them up in the Shaderoom comments, and likes but never listen to the damn music or buy the music. It only seems to work for white pop girls so far :deadbanana2:

It does when you have the stats to back it up—she's already a multi platinum selling artist.

And I remember normansters said her collab singles went multiplatinum because of her, not Sam Smith or Cardi B :clap3:

Huge congratulations to the one and only Mrs. Kordei. The success of this album is a direct reflection of its quality. She should be proud of herself. The Dopamine era is one for the history books. #91 is a very interesting number and Dopamine looks amazing next to it. There aren't a lot of female pop girlies who achieved a similar album debut as Mrs. Kordei. Bebe Rexha would kill for a Top 100 album debut on the Billboard 200 charts. Like they say: one pop girlie's trash is another pop girlie's treasure.

Why?

No physicals

No music videos

No pre-order

No performances

No more than 3 promo tweets

No TikTok promo

The twinks on here will try to blame Normani for this, but the reality is that her team, and she herself, don't prioritise commercial success. She's put out an excellent body of work that's been receiving great reviews. We can only hope that it gets some nominations come awards season. That being said, Dopamine is still the best release of 2024 so far.

Exactly, it was expected. The absence of even a music video is astonishing. Nevertheless, I'm pleased she has delivered a quality album, keeping her fans satisfied with great music. When the visuals are released, I'll be fully content.

She needs a new label for her second album that will provide her with the support and recognition she truly deserves.

idk, it's a great album imo, had a lot of fun listening to it, and it's on my rotation currently

but it is what it is

I didn't spend the entirety of my life speaking abt how charts don't really mean **** (even tho it's pretty nice when an artist you like does well on them) just to change my opinion on a quality album because atrl losers are gonna be dragging normani because she's flopping

I mean, yeah she's flopping, no **** sherlock

yes, and?

what now?

Kind of a bummer because the album is honestly great - and I wasn't a fan of normani before it :chick3:

No promo and she stepped on her own hype by waiting so long after the initial album announcement.
