Jay07 Posted June 21 Posted June 21 I'm glad there's someone who is so theatrical and over the top again, music scene was so boring. I don't think she serves Gaga at all, costume doesn't automatically mean Lady Gaga. 6
georgechxng Posted June 21 Posted June 21 as someone who consumes chappell since the pandemic i can't believe she made it big. when i started listening to her, she had just put out pink pony club and didn't even have 300k monthly listeners. i'm so proud of her, she deserves all the attention she's getting! 7
Peak Now Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Yall claim modern pop music is too boring and the second someone wears a wacky costume yall go "Gaga!!! Madonna!!! Björk!!!" Make it make sense 3 1 1 2 1
Velvet Night Posted June 21 Posted June 21 She's so ******* iconic omg The outfit! The energy! The high note!

Snoopy Posted June 21 Posted June 21 She's such a good performer and the interview was great too. She's very charismatic.

Make it make sense How is that a bad thing? Actually, the inspiration is being praised in here unlike years ago when everything was just "copycat!". 3
liquiddiamonds Posted June 21 Posted June 21 FINALLY a PERFORMER has arrived on the scene. The starpower oozing from this is crazy
liquiddiamonds Posted June 21 Posted June 21 She's giving 80s New Wave/New Romantic glam with a drag spin. I see way more Boy George than other fellow pop girls, for example. It just feels classic in all the right ways. I'm rooting for her 3 2

Comparing her to Gaga is not a bad thing but it's sort of reductive (sorry) and puts her in a box. New Romantic+drag is much more accurate. The white makeup mmm delicious. 5
Gui Blackout Posted June 21 Posted June 21 There is something a bit early Gaga about her (complimentary). I'm interested to see how her upcoming era will be a bigger budget, a stronger team, how she'll take her vision to the next level. 1
Démodé Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Ate, devoured, DEPLETED. Killer performance. Whoever said anything about vocals needs a reality check.
KatyPrismSpirit Posted June 21 Posted June 21 She is full of energy, has a great personality. So charismatic. I love this girl. And the performance is great. Vocals are vocaling! 1

I can totally see the Cindy Lauper, Boy George, Kate Bush and Lady Gage references (especially the song Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl is literally serving Fame-Gaga). There's something special about her. Edited June 21 by Kristie Kuwa 4
Gaia Posted June 21 Posted June 21 4 hours ago, Garbaj said: her next era is gonna be HUGE. this what we need in pop music !!!! someone who doesn't care about dressing crazy, someone that can perform, someone that can put on a show. she's soo unique and you can tell she has the work ethic. CHAPPEL ROAN EVERYBODY! "Doesn't care about dressing crazy" girl have you ever seen her perform? When does she not have an extravagant outfit?

Just a Gay on ATRL Posted June 21 Posted June 21 I mean… my god. What is there to say? Absolutely outstanding. Exciting. Refreshing.
