AmericanIdol Posted June 21 Posted June 21 When will it stop?!?!?! I was defending Katy left and right, claiming she would NEVER support Dr. Rape again and he's the lead producer of her new album This was me last year: I'm never dropping ship but when will it stop?!?!?!?! Leave us alone! 1 7
Julia Fox Posted June 21 Posted June 21 just unstan? she had been giving the kats million reasons to let her go since the PRISM era but you all are into S&M it seems x 1

Mordecai Posted June 21 Posted June 21 If we can survive the Witness era and Smile which had a literal CLOWN aesthetic, we can survive anything, hang in there 1 4
skwonderfactory Posted June 21 Posted June 21 We all shouldn't worry about anonymous peoples' opinions on the internet and you can always support the art from the artist while just enjoying the music. I promise it's never that serious . 1
nostalgia Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Alright, KatyCats, buckle up! 🌟 Let's talk about KP6 and this whole "Woman's World" situation. It's obvious that Katy and her team have a master plan here. Let's break it down: Woman's World as a Strategic Flop: Yes, it got some initial buzz from the GP (general public), but look at how it's being handled now. Minimal promo, lackluster performances. It's all intentional, folks! Katy is letting this one slide to set up a narrative. Creating the Underdog Story: By letting "Woman's World" flop, Katy is creating an underdog story. The media will eat it up when the next single drops and it smashes. It's classic PR genius. 🧠 Palate Cleanser Tactic: "Woman's World" is just a palate cleanser. It's there to gauge interest and get people talking. Think of it as a teaser, a little taste of what's to come, but not the main course. 🍽️ The Crown Jewel: The REAL banger is the second single, which will be released with the album. Katy is known for her strategic releases, and this is no different. The second single is going to be the crown jewel, the track that defines KP6. Building Suspense: By allowing "Woman's World" to underperform, Katy is building suspense and anticipation. When that second single drops and it's a certified hit, it will feel even more impactful. 🎤💥 So, don't be fooled by the current narrative. Katy Perry is a pop mastermind, and KP6 is going to be HUGE. "Woman's World" is just a stepping stone to something greater. Watch this space. 👀✨ #KatyPerry #KP6 #PopQueen #MasterPlan 1 10 1
Broken Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Just unstan... There are so many more interesting artists out there. 1
shimind Posted June 21 Posted June 21 First lets wait for the tracklist.. if its just 1 or 2 dr luke tracks out of 15-16 songs then she will get a free pass. But if its like 8-9 tracks oh well then...
ChooseyLover Posted June 21 Posted June 21 I know I've been hard on her but I really empathize with (some of) y'all. It was just a stupid minority the one that was asking for this to happen. I guess if I were in your place I wouldn't jump ship either, I'd just shut up and suck it up, what else can y'all do after all 1
AvadaKedavra Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Im here for a fanbase name-change. From katycats to the clowns of pop-clownies-los payasitos 2

MusicLoverDude Posted June 21 Posted June 21 She'll never top Teenage Dream in terms of album quality, or Wide Awake in terms of music video quality. I really loved NRO and Daisies though but I've come to accept that Katy's music has mostly taken a nosedive in quality since Witness. I just get the sense that even if Dr. Luke didn't produce this, this song would still have a mid vibe to it. At the end of the day, I still revisit her earlier tunes (especially Waking Up In Vegas, Teenage Dream and Wide Awake) but if her music never serves much quality ever again I'll be fine. Within the past decade I've really become stans of both Ariana and Taylor as well as Carly Rae and I still have my OG Avril. 1
BrokenMachine Posted June 21 Posted June 21 As a katycat you should've known the suffering never ends 1 1 1
Archetype Posted June 21 Posted June 21 (edited) I feel bad because she works really hard, but the answer has always been to do less. Let other people write and creative direct. Edited June 21 by Archetype 1
Bewitched Posted June 21 Posted June 21 You can still stan but call her out for working with dr. Luke again

Erreur2 La Nature Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Hm this is not very surprising. Katy's moral values have always seemed… non-existant. She has said and done many negative things. We could have think it was because she was younger and needed to get attention and become more successful but the truth is that she simply doesn't care. Despite that, I enjoy her music and want her to have a comeback because she can make some bops even at her lowest but in terms of human values there's nothing to expect from Katy, that's who she is.
