SlowGinFizzzz Posted June 20 Posted June 20 (edited) Gaga and Rihanna are (or will probably be at one point), the other two... not so much. Edited June 20 by SlowGinFizzzz
Eternal220 Posted June 20 Posted June 20 Only Rihanna is a legend among this group. She is actually competing with the current gen of popstars in streaming while the other 3 are fighting at the bottom of the list. 5
CroNich Posted June 20 Posted June 20 I would say Rih and Gaga are definitely legends Kesha is a pop icon Katy was just there 1 2
Princess Aurora Posted June 20 Posted June 20 (edited) More like icons than legends. Edited June 20 by Princess Aurora 1
dumbsparce Posted June 20 Posted June 20 Yes. 2010-2012 are the 10s equivalent of what I imagine the 80s were for my parents. Truly the perfect time to be a young gay exploring the world and experiencing POP everywhere. 1
Infernal Paradise Posted June 20 Posted June 20 (edited) Gaga has the perfect blend of talent, versatility, success, acclaim, industry respect and an expansive legacy in the making spanning different fields of entertainment. The most well rounded artist of the century and the strongest case among the options here. Followed by Rihanna and Kesha. Katy, no. Edited June 20 by Marry Illusion Glory 3 1
FOCK Posted June 20 Posted June 20 (edited) Well, no. Of the list, Rihanna is the closest. To be legendary, is to be the best at what you do, synonymous with the field you're in, & to sustain that notable association long term, transcending just "chart success" or a few good years. Rihanna is the best marketer, with the widest appeal, in her field. Beyoncé is the best performer in her field. Mariah Carey is the best lyricist & vocalist, in her field. Nicki Minaj is the best wordsmith & rapper in her field. Kesha, Katy & Gaga, undoubtedly experienced great success, but were never "the best" in their respective fields. They are pop icons, not legends. New generations of artists cite & aspire to be "the next" Bey, Nicki, Janet, Madonna or Rihanna - not any of the others you listed. Edited June 20 by FOCK
AvadaKedavra Posted June 20 Author Posted June 20 Thank you sistrens. Now with ATRL approval we can confirm them all as Legends. Not icons. Big legends what a legacy
manuelalex9810 Posted June 20 Posted June 20 Saying Kesha is an icon but Katy isn't is laughable. ATRL really lives in their own bubble
Phaunzie Posted June 20 Posted June 20 (edited) I agree, three of them are legendary. The Female MJ, The New Madonna and The Bowie of this generation. Each have made a made a mark on pop culture whilst the others have faded away. Edited June 20 by Phaunzie
