Da Vinci Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Crazy how Avril (?) served 3 iconic pop-rock albums back to back to back before the age of 23! And each one is distinctive from each other and represents the stage/era of 2000s pop-rock/pop-punk they were released in. My ranking: 1. Let Go - has the highest highs but the lowest lows with the last 3 tracks lowkey being fillers, would've been perfect as a 10-track album 2. Under My Skin - no fillers, better production, better vocals but also lacks the higher highs of Let Go so it's #2 for me though it's really close, MHE is the weakest track especially lyrically IMO 3. The Best Damn Thing - not as cohesive as the other 2 with random slow piano ballads that derail and drain the energy of the experience, also has the least depth out of all 3 and the fun, campy, bratty, villainous mean girl persona becomes really grating when you're not in the mood for it anymore
Gorjesspazze9 Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Let Go first 3 songs is probably the greatest opening ever Like How tf did she do this as a teen?! Under My Skin production and songwriting got even stronger. TBDT was my coming of age album too. So it's hard to choose.
selena_lavigne Posted June 18 Posted June 18 The way she got better and better with her first 4 albums. Legendary behavior.
jonapova Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Let Go - Under my skin ————> TBDT Her first 2 albums were amazing and my favourite often changes. Also I do not accept the slander for Naked! 1
KKKIMO92 Posted June 18 Posted June 18 UMS>TBDT>LG. This is simply because TBDT is my first Avril album. But Let go is the goal, the themes, melodies and lyrics are just impeccable.

butterflymimi Posted June 19 Posted June 19 let go > tbdt > ums they're all great though. ums has the highest highs for me with fall to pieces, my happy ending, nobody's home but i'm more fond of the other two as a whole
